Self-storage: anyone tried it in FL???

We have traveled with only carry-on luggage since becoming DVC members 7 years ago. The current restrictions have gotten us thinking about future trips, and wouldn't it be great if we could rent a locker at a self-storage place to store items like toiletries, etc?
I tried searching self-storage places but it appears the smallest storage space is 5' x 5' for too much money.
Any ideas?

how about mailing your stuff to your resort and then have them mail it back to you upon your departure?

have security conditions caused train/bus stations to remove the lockers that were there years ago?

might there be storage space at package mailing centers?

just some thoughts to ponder.......................
