does anyone know if the washers and dryers take dollar bills or only quarters? If only quarters, is there a change machine. I know it is $2 a load to wash or dry, just wondering how many quarters I should bring. I think I need some for the toll roads too, right?

I am wondering this about the washer and dryers also, as for the tolls, yes you need several quarters, depending on where you are going and where you are coming from

They take quarters and there is a coin changer machine in the room.

Be careful using the washers at POR. I did a couple loads of laundry and one of the washers must have had something yucky left in it from whomever used it previously. Whatever it was came out of my clothes, but it was annoying having to do the same load twice. Just make sure to check the inside of the washer BEFORE you use it (whether at POR or any resort). I do remember that they had change machines in the laundry room facility.

The laundry rooms also have detergent and fabric softener for sale in machines. I seem to recall detergent costing around $1.25 a single size box.

The dryers will normally take you a couple of cycles to dry your clothes. I would suggest splitting your normal load between two dryers, that way you could get them dry with one cycle.

Check the dryers before you use them as well. We had someone leave a crayon in ours and I had to wash the clothes several times to get all the wax out. A Maintenence CM cleaned the dryer and gave me many quarters to rewash.
