Self-Parking at the Boardwalk Inn - update

It must have happened during a convention or maybe EPCOT Food & Wine/Flower & Garden or they would not be showing this message. Convention seems likely since it's easy to see that 300 single business people would arrive at the airport and rent a car rather than take ME... so suddenly you have 300 more cars trying to self park... that would jam it up good. So it will happen again, and be ready, polite and firm that you expect to have a parking space or no charge for valet.

In the past even if self parking at the resort was full you could still self-park in the overflow lot behind Hess. It is such a short walk I don't think that is a bad alternative at all. It is probably a shorter walk then some of the further lots at other resorts.

We just checked-in to Boardwalk Inn and had no problem finding a parking space. The lot looked full, but we drove down to about the third row and found a spot about 1/2 way down. There were at least 10 empty spots within eye sight.

You are welcome and Thanks. We have a great room on the 5th floor and can clearly see Spaceship earth and the Eiffel Tower. I think we will have great views of the fireworks.

I have a June reservation and I received a letter about renovations. It doesn't mention anything about a lack of parking spaces. I sure hope everything will be fine. I don't want to listen to my DH moan about a $25 valet parking fee (plus tip!). The man carries his own luggage; having someone else park our car would put him over the edge.
