With everyone offering their insight and opinins on a previous thread I asked about which deluxe resort to stay at, I have narrowed it down to three and would like to get everyone's input so I can finalize my decision. This is an adults only trip and I'd like to know details and opinions on what you think of resort amenities, food, bus schedules, park proximity pros and cons, etc.

As much as we would like to stay at Contemporary, it's just not in the budget. So we are selecting from a return stay at AKL or WL or Boardwalk Inn.

I have heard so many great things about WL, but at the same time, after our disastrous stay at FQ in April, I'm scared to try something new, but I'm sure nothing could be that bad again.

Which one from the above would you pick?

I say go ahead and try the Boardwalk, that's what we're doing for a quick trip in January. We've stayed at Poly, didn't really care for , POR, and YC. We really loved the YC and the whole Boardwalk area so we are trying BWI this time.:flower3:

I voted for WL, my favorite resort. :thumbsup2

I love AKL too, but I have to tell you one odd negative point: Watching the animals can become intoxicating! :upsidedow We would sit on our balcony and forget to leave for the park or for a meal. Now if youare planning a vacation with lots of laid-back relaxation, this is a great resort choice. But if you really want to stay on a schedule, AKL could be a problem.

I chose WL, but on our last trip we did a split stay at WL and BW. You can not go wrong with either one.

WL has great restaurants and a wonderful lounge right at the resort. The atmosphere is simply amazing and no other resort comes close to giving this feeling. You are a short boat ride away from the monorail and the CR. Buses were readily available.

Good luck choosing,
Mrs. Disney Ron

I voted for the Boardwalk Inn because of its location. There is just so much for adults to do in that area.

This is about our favorite resort for price , location and themeing. We have stayed at AKL, didn't like the whole place; too long of walks to the lobby, only a few animals on the Savannah and nothing to do around the resort when the sun goes down plus bussing to everywhere.

Boardwalk, never stayed there but have done Y&B resort. Nice resorts but we're not EPCOT people. We normally have AP's and rather prefer popping in and out at the Mk, or if we want to grab a Casaey hot dog, its quick and easy from the WL.

WL, great pool, love the theme and quietness. We prefer the location, seems we're more in Disney World when we have the 2 lakes, monorail and MK in our backyard. We enjoy the buffets and pizza at FW, again access by boat, fun ride.

I stayed at the BW last December when I couldn't get into the BC. I was surprised by how much I loved it. For adults its access to both Epcot and MGM are wonderful. The resort is beautiful and quieter than the BC. You can pop over to see Illuminations or grab something to eat there - and there are 7 restaurants in the BW area! The only downside is the bus to the MK, but as an Epcot person that was OK as I usually only go for one day and an evenng party.

Been to BW and loved it. The only reason I picked WL is I want to stay there and have heard great things about it.
