Select Comfort - Sleep Number - anyone own this mattress?

We don't use any special sheets.
We also did not buy the foundations (box springs for regular beds). Both our bed and our DD's bed are sort of contemporary and were designed to not use a box spring. The Select Comfort salesman was sort of agast that we would use the mattresses without the matching foundation, but we have not had any problems.

Our saleswoman even suggested that if we already had a frame we could just add the SNB to that. We were upgrading from a Full to a Queen and our old bed was Heavy. I took just the headboard and attached it to their foundation . It's all so light we can just move the bed around with one hand.

We've had our for over ten years now....was not even called the "sleep number" bed back then...just Select Comfort. Did not even have local store then...they had a demo/sale at a nice local hotel. We still love it....recently added a real goose down topper...aaahhhhhhhhhhhh

As far as the foundation, our bed prior to the Select Comfort was a soft-side waterbed (big mistake), but we were able to use the "foundation" from the waterbed with the SC.
