I need help should I pick the segway around the world or the divequest. Both me and DH are certified so the divequest is not a problem. But we live in Hawaii and everytime we going diving we see turtles, tropical fish, etc. THe stuff that you would see in the divequest tank.

On the other hand this trip is mostly my doing. DH is just along for the ride because he loves me and knows that it would make me happy. And I know that diving is something that he would enjoy.

But he also said that the segway thing would be really cool.

Right now I am leaning more towards the Segway.

Opinons facts reviews?

P.S. Did I drive you crazy with my indiciveness?

We're doing Segway this year and I wanted to do DQ but no one else wanted to so maybe another time. All the reviews I've read for DQ were great. Many of them were regular divers, though maybe not living in HI like you. (sounds awesome.) However even they said they were surprised at the amount and proximity of all the fish and creatures.

They said because of it being an enclosed space that the animals were used to divers (and can't get away) and so they got to spend lots more time up close with them. This makes it sound cool to me. And don't forget, you're on display to the Coral Reef restaurant and other people a lot of the time too.

I have done both tours. Segway is a cool tech savy ride through epcot. Its neat to ride through the world showcase on the segway. U spend an hour learning to ride then about an hour touring the WS. I liked it enough to try it again in later trips and drag friends to it. There is basically no backstage areas and not overly informative. U learn lots about segways... little about WS.

Divequest was a treat for me. I have very minimal diving experience. A few tropical islands and my cert dives in NY (I saw nothing on those.... barely saw the hand in front of my face). There is a really nice tour before the dive and then u suit up and are given gear and go into the water. They do a small tour around the tank and then u have the rest of the time to do as u please with ur buddy. There is a neat little air container that u stand in and u can take off ur mask and regulator. But by far my favorite part is playing with the guest in the window. I'm not a ham or anything but seriously its a lot of fun to see how excited people get.

I don't know if it will be a bore cuz ur used to bueatiful dives.... but for me I loved divequest.... I even went back and did it again later that week. I hadn't intended when I wrote this to lean to one side or the other.... but all in all u can learn to ride a segway for free in epcot.

I hope this helped.... if u have specific questions that would help u decide feel free to ask

I can't comment on divequest, but it does sound fun. However, my husband and I have done the segway tour twice and would do it every time if we could.
You won't be dissappointed! I loved gliding thru Epcot when no one was there. It was great fun, even the training part was fun. Tough decision, but I'm sure you would be happy either way....
