Segway Tours

Anyone know if Disney has started doing the Segway tours again? Is there a restart date or are they cancelled indefinitely?

Last I heard, they had to only shut it down for two days. I admit, I havne't called to check on ours, but I assumed since it was only a software upgrade they had to do, the 2 days shut down sounded accurate.

Yes they are running them again. My DH did one on 9/18 but mine for 9/14 had been canceled. They just stopped doing them for a couple of day so they could upgrade the software.

Go and enjoy. DH said it was the best part of our trip next to the Illuminations Cruise.

So did I! What some people don't know about, but I stumbled onto, is the free Segway tour. OK, you only get to ride it for about 2 minutes, but it's great for people like me who are rather uncoordinated, so they wonder if they could manage. It's in Innoventions West. First you see a little video, then they take you out to the track where you get to ride one a whole 20 feet or so, turn around and go back. Like I said, it's a great "test run" to see if you're likely to be OK on the long tour.

I'm glad to hear it was only for a few days. My DH will be happy. He's been wanting to try one and was disappointed when he found it was closed.

Thank you for the update. Am planning on surprising my sister with a tour on our upcoming trip.

Saw them both times we were at Epcot last week. A few folks we spoke to who took them said they were wonderful.
