Segway Tours in FW

Thanks to everyone that responded. I called today and booked my FW tour for the end of July. Darn, I am going to have to go to DW again this summer. I am so excited about this. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the updates. I'm still curious if this will be true offroading with whith the Segway XTs (they have the large knobbed tires), or will it be on paved paths using the standard Segways. Either way, I'm in if they're still having the tour in Oct

Hmm, I click on the link and it shows the Segway your from WDWInfo.com, not sure why you're seeing that it's moved?

The link works, but if you click on the blue writing to get more info on the tour it says it has been moved or removed.

I get that also - it gives name, date, cost etc - but when I then click on the left where it states the tour name I get Page Not Found. I thought there might be more of a description in that area.

Oh well, we will have to do the tour next week and report back.

It sounds pretty neat, but for just a few bucks more I can play 9 holes at Oak Trails which will entertain me longer, and if the day is really hot they let me play another 9 holes on the house.

The CM that I spoke with today said that it would be an "off-road adventure" through the campground. I don't know if that means that they will use the segways with the large tires or not but she did say that it would go on the trails.

I go on Friday (the 29th). I had a poll on my site of which photo tour I should do next. Segway has been leading the last few weeks, so I went ahead and signed up at FW (I much prefer to do it there than Epcot!) It is supposed to be in a test phase.

There are no discounts.

Yes, we did it Sept 08. We liked it much better then the one at Epcot. You meet by the BBQ, do some orientation, and ride thru trails around the Fort, with a stop at the barn and a pic stop at the beach. Great fun.

Less time training and more time riding. The terrain was rougher making it more fun and we didn't have to dodge Epcot tourists cutting in front of you.

What if you never did the EPCOT one, just the Ft W one? Do you think it would be adequate learning time?

(I'm a recent DIS/Disney convert/addict...... determined to experience it all over the next few years...... then I really have to start putting $$$ in to my house---I desperately need to redo (ie Do) my kitchen, and the flooring in the house.)

There were lots of first timers, it's very easy to learn. The Segway does everything for you, you just have to trust it to balance you and stop trying to balance yourself. Believe me if I can do it, anyone can.
