Segway tour

We are going to be at Disney this year at Christmas. I am thinking of giving my husband a segway tour for his present. My question is do they allow other family members to go along to take pictures without being part of the tour??? Can anyone reccommend this tour?

Since the Segway tour goes to WS before it opens, I doubt that nonpaying family members would be allowed to walk alongside. That, and the Segways travel at a good clip that would be impossible to keep up with while walking. Running, yes. Walking, not so much.

I highly recommend the tour. It is a very different experience. If you're concerned about getting pictures taken while on the tour, they do break during the tour and take pictures of your group. You can also get off at that point and get pictures of your husband yourself.

Your husband will love it! I took mine on several tours and this one was his favorite.

I've done both the Epcot and the Fort Wilderness Segway tours. At the end of the Epcot tour, you'd probably be able to see your hubby when he was returning to where the tour starts - in Innoventions last I remember. Over at Fort Wilderness, if you were in the area of the Hoop-de-Doo restaurant/Trail's End, you'd be able to see him there. But, in both my experiences, I never did see anyone with a family member hanging around. If you have a chance to go to, go for it! It's lots of fun and your DH would probably enjoy himself more with you there to share it with him.

One of the best things we have done at Disney!!!!!!! They do take a professional picture while on the tour, but going along wouldn't be feasible with the speed that the Segways go.
I would HIGHLY recommend it!

You wouldn't be able to go along, but when we have done the segway tours we took our small cameras with us in our pocket and other people on the tour took pictures of us on the segway for us. They are great tours, so much so that we try to do one each trip now!

we have done the Epcot tour twice, and the DCA one once.

all of the tours, they have a time when you can take pictures of each other (after dismounting from the segway) and the CM will take pictures of you with your own camera while you are on the segway.

I say you should both go on the tour, well worth it.
