Segway Blackout Dates (December)

Does anyone out there have a Segway Around the World Tour booked between December 18 and January 1? I just spoke to a CM in the tours department who said that these days are blacked out. Blacked out means that no Segway tours of this type are even being offered. I have called and spoke to several CMs about this and have received a different story each time.

We have a segway tour booked for the 27th December for 4 adults. We booked it in April and then we were told there was only 1 tour available that day at 8:30am. We have a confirmation number and Disney took payment for the tour that month.

We also have the backstage magic tour booked for the 23rd December which we booked at the same time.

I was told by a CM at BWV that I couldn't book a Segway for January until 90 days out. Was that wrong?

I'm with you, bobbiwoz! I have learned to keep calling and trying. I will be calling at the 90 day mark also, just to make sure!

We made our Segway Tour reservations way before the 90 day mark (I can't remember exactly, but it was a couple of months before). I just called WDW TOUR one day to ask about it, and they let me book it then. I agree, they also charged my credit card at that time.

He has his Segway Tour booked for Dec 19th . We booked it through AAA travel agent and we haven't heard of any blackout date. Anyone else going that day ? I'd love to know. Elisa

I now believe that the 9:30 tour has been blacked out due to the earlier park hours. It is a safety issue. They don't want the rookie Segway riders running anyone over!

My guess is that they are all booked up, but I will still try at 90 days and every day thereafter.
