segmenting reservation-premium dining plan?????

I have been reading all about segmenting our reservation to utilise the different dining plans etc, can anyone tell me if we would be able to segment and get the PREMIUM DINING PLAN for 1 night of our reservation, ie get cirque du soleil tickets included????

Nope, no can do. You can only get the Counter Service plan, the regular plan and the deluxe plan (three TS per day). The premium plan isn't available when using points.

No, you can't add the premium or the platinum dining plan when you are staying on DVC points - only as a package from Disney. I tried to do this a few months ago, and the people at MS didn't even know what the premium dining plan was. I got so little information about why DVC members could not add either plan that I emailed MS and asked why. Finally, a CM at the DVC executive office called me back and told me that they were discussing the possibility of letting DVC members add the premium and platinum dining plans. He said they get that request from members alot. I am hoping that we can add these plans in the future.

The premium and platinum package plans are not Disney Dining Plans. They have a dining component that is similar to the Dining plans but are part of a completely different program and are not available at all on DVC reservations, only on MYW package reservations (even though the Disney website refers to them as "dining plans." I think this is misleading.) I also believe you must book a deluxe resort to get the Platinum plan. The package plans include park tours, resort recreation, Cirque du Soleil, and other items depending on which plan you choose.
