After seeing your photos and hearing your reviews of Mr Chapman I was totally convinced. I was even more so after talking with both he and his wife by phone. I have booked him for our August 29th wedding.
Here is where I hope you may have some suggestions, it will be scorching in August, even at 10 am, can you help me with any suggestions on where to shoot that would be beautiful but cool? I LOVE your beach photos, but I don't want to be all sweaty for the pics. We are getting married at the WP...I know you are not the photographer, but thought based on how great yours are, and since you've "been there, done that", that you might have a thought. Thanks for all your great advice on this board!!

Aww yay!! Im so glad you booked him!!:grouphug: Tell him I said hello next time you speak to him!

I recommend doing some photos around a shady hotel. Where are you staying? If you dont plan on doing 'together photos' before (which DH and I decided to wait to see one another until the ceremony)... I recommend doing those photos around the resort you are staying at. You can do a lot of shaded photos. DH and I both did this a lot around the WL. We were in and out heading outside so much that I barely noticed how hot it was (and we were there when it was still shorts and tank short sleeve weather).

I would then go have your ceremony at the WP-- and get those lovely photos taken around there-- and then AFTERWARD I would head out on the beach and get your photos taken on the beach. That was our order of things and worked out fine. By that time the sun might not be AS strong (depending on your wedding time).... and you will have already had a great deal of photos taken... so a few sweaty ones will be worth it! The beach is a great place to get some taken, theres also a shady spot on the lawn right around the corner across from the beach that is great... thats where we had this photo taken

I definately dont want you to be uncomfortably sweaty in your photos-- and the humidity will probobly be what kills ya... but Randy is great to work with and he does this so often, trust me, he will make everything look great and not mess your dress or makeup up. He, seriously, in my opinion (and many others ive seen)-- knows more about disney weddings than some of the coordinators. You will learn that Randy is a super smart man and literally does more work than he gets recognition for (part of the time he ends up doing the coordinator on dutys job!!).

Gl with everything and let me know if you have anymore questions.
Tell Randy hello for me!:wave2: I miss Orlando so muchpixiedust: Your day will be the most beautiful and breathtaking event of your life thus far-- just believe!

I'm planning on asking Randy before hand if there is anything I should do to make my pictures come out great.. like using a certain kind of makeup or if lighter or darker shades will look better etc... I"m getting married in September at 10:00 am as well and am worried about the heat too..

maybe bring a fan with you and fan yourself off between shots?

Thanks Holly!!

Im tellin ya, Randy could take great photos of hogs rolling around in slop! Hes that good! I wouldnt worry about makeup or heat if its the photos you are worried about-- hes just that good:woohoo: . He knows the right amount of shade-- and he did (atleast with us)... some inside photos, some outside photos, we went in to cool off and took more inside-- it was the perfect medium. GL:thumbsup2

Maggie I LOVE that photo.. So romantic:love:

 I hate what im doing with my mouth -- I still dont know why im holding it that way:confused3

we got married in july at the Wp. of course we were in the worst heat at 2:30 and i must say it didn't bother me at all.

we took photos from the patio area of the Grand Floridian and I love these. the beach at the Wp may be tough but we went outside and got a few images. MY advice is to know before hand what images you want adn they can follow along with your list. most photographers will move it along so not to make themselves be in the heat too long!

good luck

Along those lines, what is a good, "melt-proof" make-up ? I am an August 1 bride myself.

well Lisa used MAC makeup and mine stayed on the entire day from 10am-11pm and i was dancing up qa storm. she used this spray sealer....forgot the name.

My biggest advice would be to take some extra lipstick with you. By the time I got to the ceremony I didnt hardly have any on-- and for the photos afterwards at the GF and whatnot it was completely gone. Shane probobly liked that (because he doesnt like to get all icky with lipstick)-- but I was a little upset about it. So get a little stick with some extra on it and make sure you take it :goodvibes

GL Catwub! Let us know how it goes. :thumbsup2

Maggie your pics are beautiful!!! I love the one on your post!!! thanks for all the advice. We are staying at the GF so I hope to get some pretty pics there, but I also know that the beach will probably be roasting at 10:30 am in the summer:love: I am so glad to hear that Lisa uses MAC, that is the only make-up that seems to last on me. I am really glad Randy knows so much about WDW weddings, I plan to ask him what he thinks will be good ahead of time...also to let him know I seat like a guy and it's not prettty:sad2:

I had this same problem. Definately take some extra lipstick, you will need it. I used Randy too and absolutely loved his work. He is absolutely awesome.

Hi Cat...I noticed you booked Randy!!! We used him for our photos 3 years ago and I have to say he is sooooo good he doesn't let you get hot. He moves you from inside to outside and back again. We were married the end of June and it was over 90 degrees. Good Luck! I hope you love your photos like we did!!!!

I think it is more about the spray sealer. Make sure you have a sealer. Good Luck!!!!:)

Thanks so much ! I am so glad I found this board. It has been invaluable thus far ! Happy planning to all you other soon-to be's!
