Seeking Best HRRR Strategy

I'll be visiting Universal in August, staying at the Hard Rock. We'll be doing the parks Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

What's the best way to get the smallest lines for HRRR? I was planning to utilize the on-site hotel early entry for WWOHP on Saturday and Sunday. Friday we might be arriving closer to 10 or 11, rather than before park opening. Would going into US and riding HRRR be the best idea? Or do the lines get smaller closer to closing time? How long do the lines get for this ride, and how quickly do they build?

Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks!

I have no idea about lines. Last time I was there was Spring 2010 and line was 90+ minutes. I saw it go down to 60 once.

At any rate single rider line is the way to go if you can.

I thought I learned here recently that there is some form of early entry at the Studios too? Or did I just imagine that? If true, that's what I would do to get on HRRR quickly.

Don't count on single rider line. It is often closed. When it's really busy, they only open it up for a couple of minutes or so an hour. Enough people flood in that they have to close it otherwise it's shorter to wait in the regular line.

My best advice would be to head over tot he studios for its "rope drop" and ride it first thing. This is what we do when we head over to the Studios for a day.
