I read somewhere (cannot remember where) that some people were able to watch the fireworks over Cinderella's Castle from their resort balconey. Which resorts can you do this from and what view would I need to book?

Ahhhhh yes, this to me is HEAVEN, The Contemporary is wonderful you are very close but the view is at an angle, you have to book a TOWER room, and request MK view, you cant guarantee it there, but weve always gotten it.

The Polynesian, you have to book a lagoon view room, there may be 1 or 2 garden view rooms that you can reach out over the balcony and see them but not so great....And of the lagoon view buildings my personal fave is Tahiti, anything on the 3rd floor facing the lagoon.

And finally the Grand Floridian, this one its actually harder to get the perfect MK view, and Im not sure what you would have to request.

However of the 3 I like the view from Polynesian the best, the fireworks look best from a head on perspective.

Also some people staying at Wilderness lodge have reported seeing the castle and fireworks from there and its a bit cheaper, but it is a little bit further away. Someone else could tell you more about that than me though.

I was OBSESSED with having the room with the MK view and fireworks from the balcony, we did it and it was SOOOOOo worth it to us.

We had a wonderful view of the fireworks and Cinderella's castle from our lagoon view room at the GF. We could see them from both a lagoon view room in Big Pine Key and Sago Cay, but the one at Sago Cay was perfect! You could lie in bed and watch the castle change colors.

We had a spectacular view of the castle from our room at the GF. If I recall correctly, we were in rooms 7130 & 7131....was the best view we ever had at WDW. We saw the 4th of July fireworks from out balcony, it was a breath taking and an unforgetable experience. :flower:

You can also see the fireworks from the upper floors of the WL. Again you would have to request a MK view room which is not a guarantee. It was amazing, we found ourselves rushing back to the room just to watch. Its so worth it!

We've had great views from the Polynesian in both Tahiti and Hawaii lagoon view third floor rooms. Also the Contempory tower has some fantastic views and I'm looking forward to having it again next month.

we got to see them from the WL also...it was incredible!!!! :teeth:

WE watched them from our WL balacony. We requested a room on the 5th floor, north wing overlooking the otterpond just to be able to see the castle and fireworks. It was a breathtaking view, even without the wonderful firework show. We could also see the Cinderellabration fireworks.

We saw them practically every night from our room in the Hawaii building on the 3rd Floor at the Polynesian. It was definitely a trip to remember.

Here's what it looked like during one of those evenings...

Contemporary Tower MK view. Obviously the higher you are in the tower the better the view.
