OK Dis experts . . . . we'll be at Disneyland on Friday, Oct. 23 (so exciting!) but will be arriving in Anaheim on Thursday early evening.

Can anyone suggest a good spot to be at around 9:30 pm Thursday night to "see" any of the fireworks from outside the park?

We'll see the show of course on Friday night from the hub area (and then fight the crowds to head over to get a spot for 10:30 Fantasmic). But I was thinking it would be fun to get a little preview on Thursday.

We are staying at a hotel on Harbor near the main gates but will probably be over in Downtown Disney Thursday evening. Anyplace we could walk to see some of the fireworks show?

Thanks, in advance, for your input.

The esplanade (the area in between DL and DCA) is a popular spot. Bring a blanket and just sit in the middle and you should get a decent view I think.

Or even in DTD. We watched them from an area by Wetzel's Pretzels - there is a break in the buildings and you can see through. Not the best view, but not too crowded and pretty close.

Have a great trip.:)

The top of the Mickey & Friends parking garage is a good spot (according to other posters here). I have not viewed them there myself but I have been to the top of it and I think it would be a great spot to view them. It is $12.00 to park so you'd have to pay to get up to the top there.

You can see the "back side of fireworks" from the parking lot of the Sheraton on Ball Road. Parking there used to be free - not sure if it still is. You can also see the actual firing platform from the Harbor Blvd bridge over the I-5. Anywhere on the north side of the park is great, Mickey & Friends parking lot included.

Thanks for all the input. I'm thinking we'll just go hang out in the Esplanade area....

The fireworks are great from Pirates Cove. We could see them even better from our balcony in room 1305. It was great!!!

I second this - the fireworks are HUGE from that spot and right overhead. We caught them there by accident one evening, and it turned out to be the highlight of our trip!

Once we watched the Remember fireworks from the top floor of the parking structure, beautiful view, but a word of warning, Cars are afraid of Fireworks! Constant alarms. Takes quite a bit away from the magic:rotfl2:
