I will be arriving on August 30th with the following plan. Our flight gets in at 9:46 a.m. Will plan to use the luggage delivery service but carry on a bag that has swimwear and clothes to change into afterward.

Get to AKL by 11:30 a.m., hang out by the pool until around 2:30, hopefully get into the room and change to go to HS.

I have a 4:20 adr's at SciFi.

I will get FP's for Midway Mania, Star Tours and Muppets. Will cross my fingers for an addition FP being available for Fantasmic.

We would like to see both Fantasmic and the Fireworks. Can anyone please give me suggestions on doing this most effectively. Seeing the show is not important to us.

Thanks!

If they are showing 2 Fantasmics! that night, then I suggest watching the fireworks, which start at 930 and then book it over to Fantasmic! for the 1030 show.

PS- May I make another suggestion....you won't need a FP for muppets. It would be better used for Tower of Terror or the Frozen sing a long (gets you in before standby line for closer seats).

I wasn't aware that HS had fireworks at night. We are going Sept 14 for 8 days. Are the frozen FW a summer event or will they be around for mid Sept as well?

September 7th is the last day of the Frozen event with fireworks.

The WDW website only shows one show at 8:30, I've got my fingers crossed that they add another.

I am traveling with two chickens who won't ride ToT. :-( I figured I'd use the Muppets as a throw away since I know they will want to see it anyway. (I'd love to see the Frozen sing along but the 3 boys I'll be traveling with are too cool for that, cool chickens that is!) Then hopefully we will get a Fantasmic FP or another one for Star Tours.

I can't remember where I read this. I think I read that on days that HS closes at 9:30, with F! at 8:30, the Frozen Fireworks will start a 9:00 - -which does not leave much time to get from one place to another. I've been trying to figure out how to do both on Sept 1.

Oh gotcha. After I posted it dawned on me you might have kids that don't want to go to either of those. I took my dd on ToT at 4yrs old and I think I scarred her for life, lol. At 8 she still refuses. My son on the other hand would ride it all day long. As for the Frozen sing a long, my son gave me so much grief over it before and while we were in line. Serious preteen meltdown grief. Anyhow, turns out he actually kinda liked it :rolleyes1. The actors are pretty funny with some older humor thrown in.

Good to know about the sing along, I bet they would do it for me. Maybe I should just sell it as a way to get out of the heat.

Now, hopefully someone has a hot tip on how/where to exit Fantasmic to see the fireworks.

We did this last summer in August!!!!! Totally spontaneous I might add.....we arrived at DHS to watch Fantasmic and we saw a bunch of people lining up and I asked a cast member what was going on and she told me that there was going to be a Frozen fireworks/show. My wife and son were roaming through the shops and upon exiting one of them, right across from Hollywood Blvd, we stopped and watched. It was a decent spot as we saw everything but still stayed close enough to just walk across the street to head to Fantasmic. It turned out to be pretty cool to catch both...made for a great way to end the evening.

Have fun!

There are some benches across from Fifties Prime Time that my dh and dd watched from. They couldn't see the show very well, but said it was great for the fireworks. As ds and I were coming off off RR, we could see them pretty good as we walked in front of where you enter/exit Fantasmic!
