Well, the thing is, it's supposed to be a 'classy nude' photo.
But when you're shooting 15 year olds, it's not really classy.
It just screams pedofile.

Not only is she only fifteen, and nude in this photo.
It's not becoming of her.
Like, it's just not a good photo.
Art is art.
but artistic nudity shouldn't involve children.

Ugh.
Someone just murder her already.

ITA.b) they don't preach Christian values & being virginal and all that junk.
That "junk" is what many Christians believe. I would never call someone else's beliefs "junk".
okay.
this is all rather confusing... wouldn't it be illegal to have it in a magazine because she's underaged??
Looking it up on Google News to see more and it says that the Jonas Brothers are backing her (well Joe Jonas has spoke out publically about it)
Disney issued this statement,[...]Unfortunately, as the article suggests, a situation was created to deliberately manipulate a 15-year-old in order to sell magazines.
"Miley's grandmother and her teacher were there when she shot it. Annie convinced them it was going to be artistic. Her parents are mortified. They know this is a learning moment for Miley. The photo suggests that she is [naked], but she is not. She is covered by a sheet, and beneath the sheet she is clothed. Originally, she was in a flesh-colored tank top but was asked to remove it."
She said, I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be artistic and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed. I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about.
well shes not showing any of her 'naughty bits'...so i guess it wouldn't be illegal.
it's just a reeeally stuuuupid idea.
interesting that the Jonas bros are backing her.
I wonder what Disney will have to say about the whole thing.

(from Dlisted.com)
And Miley's comment
OKay now this is just irritating...
They are trying villify ANNIE FREAKING LEIBOVTIZ????
ARE
YOU
JOKING.
World renowned photographer, Miley was probably THRILLED to be having her photo taken by Leibovitz and I'm sure she didn't need much 'convincing' to have her shirt off.
It seems like they are trying to say MIley had no choice in the matter.
Ugh. barf.
give me un break!!
So like, if adults buy this magazine, can that be considered pedophilia?
