I'm off for cataract surgery #1 this morning; the second eye will be done next Thursday. The surgeon says I'm going to be amazed at the clarity of my vision- that I won't remember ever having been able to see this well. It's kind of mind-boggling to consider! Anyhow... I'm optimistic that it'll all go well, and can't wait to be able to see again!!

Best of luck to you Lee! You WILL be amazed. I had it done 4 years ago, and for me, it was life-changing. I was extremely nearsighted, and now have perfect distance vision, after decades of wearing glasses and contacts. It’s a very freeing feeling.

Good luck, look forward to hearing about your experience. Everyone I know got the "free" lenses and say the clarity, and brightness of colors is amazing.
Me, still in a holding pattern until I can get my eyes evaluated again....in February to get back on the waiting list. I was originally scheduled for the surgery in May and June of this year, at this point, if I am lucky it will be May and June of next year.

Hope you are already recovering! Let your family wait on you for a bit...or if you can get away with it, until after your next surgery. Put your bunny slippers on and listen to music, nap or just veg LOL!
