.. anyone else watch this two parter? I thought it was extremely well done and was very sensitive, it really brought home the impact that someone elses actions can have on an innocent bystanders life (am referring to Maureens life, sister of Myra). what a truly awful thing to have to deal with.

Unfortunately I missed it, my friend told me about tho and said it was really good. She said Myra's sister made it seem like it was all Ian Brady's fault tho which I don't believe for a second, that are both as bad as each other!

I think the problem was that Maureen couldn't beleive at all that her sister was capable of such a thing and when her husband was caught out on other lies she found it hard to beleive his (true) story that Myra had stood by and watched Ian kill Edward and did nothing. I think it would be very hard to accept a member of your family being capable of such things and as the story was told from the viewpoint of Maureen and her husband Dave Myra came across all the way through as a very loyal and loving sister, which was probably the case as even years later prisoners who were inside with her have recalled how nice she was to talk to.
It really doesn't bear thinking about.
