When we went in 2005 I don't remember there being any security checking bags before you enter the parks. This year however there was.

Is this a new thing or have i just forgotten it from last year?

When we visited in August last year they had the security checks and I`m not sure but I think we also had to go through security in 2003.

I think they started with the security check after September 11th. But it was not a regular think.
But now it is regular! And yes 2005 was security check the whole year!

You always had a security check at the village but after 911 security was increased.
We were visiting DLP at the time of the London bombings and saw security at its' highest with high visibility of gun totting police. In fairness we did not find this intimadating but rather reassuring, although sad that it was required.

We have seen varying degrees of security checks since 9/11 (from visual to metal detector wands to none). Frankly, I don't mind at all, and feel safer when they do.
