security - PHL & MCO

Flying out of PHL was a breeze - we went through security in no time. Carry on was x-rayed as well as my handbag, no issues. We took off our shoes and they went through, again with no issues. Our carry-on had camera, multiple Rx's and assorted misc items. It was not opened or anything other than through x-ray.

Flying out of MCO was a different story. They only had 2 security checkpoints opened, everything was scrutinized, carry on was opened and every item looked at. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining - I want the security and we all must do what we have to do to be safe. Just reporting the differences.

Thanks for the info. Can you tell me how early you arrived for your flights?

We're leaving PHL on a flight at 2:50, so should I get there around noon? How about MCO? Our flight leaves Orlando at around 10:40, so should we get there around 8am? Ugh, I'm dreading that!!

Howdy neighbor

Our flight out, from PHL was at 5:45. DH was very antsy and we got there at 3:00 but domestically, they say 2 hrs ahead. We were thru security in 5 mins.

We had magical express and were picked up at 11:30 from AKL, stopping at POP. Our flight home was at 2:37 and arrived at MCO at about 12:30.
