Security at Value Resorts

Are there security guards at the value resort guarding the property? I'm staying at All Star Sports and always get nervous in a motel-like place where anyone can access the door to your room. I've also read about some bad experiences on here that others have had. I know its a long shot that something will happen, but I also know there are bad people out there who prey on tourist areas like WDW.

When checking in ask for a room that faces the courtyard, there is constantly staff and guests walking through. More people will be around. If you are facing the parking lot its a lot quiet. We've probably stayed at AS about 25+ times and have never had a problem. Most of the time it was me traveling with DDs. Its very safe.

There's a security gate when you enter the area where the All-Star resorts are located. The busses are waved through, but individuals vehicles are stopped and have to show ID, at least that's what we have had to do the three times we have stayed at All-Star Movies. I have never felt unsafe.

All vehicle traffic has to go through a gate guard. All three All Stars have the same gate entrance.

Yes, your door can be accessed from the common walkway. But so can the rooms at the moderates. And think about the Fort Wilderness Cabins. (Now someone who has a reservation over there is going to freak.)

For the most part, Disney World trusts its guests. And I honestly think that trust is carried over so people don't think of doing bad things while there.

Take the precautions you would normally take but that's all you will need.

I have gone to WDW 4 times by myself and 2 times I stayed at the Allstar Music and the other 2 times at moderates. I have never felt unsafe walking around the resorts or staying in my room.
A dishonest person could get into a room at a deluxe if they wanted to. I mean no one checks you card key as you enter the lobby, anyone can roam around.
Bottom line, you just have to be careful no matter where you are, be aware of your surroundings and the people that are around you when you are walking to your room.

I've stayed at all of the levels of Disney hotels and never felt unsafe, but the only time that I can remember that someone couldn't have access to your door is if you stay on the concierge level. Isn't this right? I just stayed at WL in May and anyone could come up the elevator to our room if they wanted to and the same at the Contemporary. Someone please correct me if I am wrong. :)
