Looking forward to our second Disney family holiday in October. We are getting really excited this time, particularly DS7 and DS2 as we are staying for the first time at a Disney resort (ASMo). Can anyone tell us anything about the security arrangements on the resort, for example is there anything to stop 'non guests' from using the facilities or roaming the resort? - Hope you can help!

There is a security gate at the entrance to the All Star Resorts. Once you have registered, you will be provided with a parking pass that will get you through the security gate.

Anyone is allowed to "roam" the resorts. Non-guests aren't allowed to use the pools. One of the things they look for to determine "non-guests" as far as the pool goes is people who show up fully clothed and change in teh abthrooms. Now it's quite possible that it is a family who has checked out and wants to swim before they leave, but often it's a local or guests of another resort. It's my understanding that the All Stars have had a problem with local's using the pools, although since the addition of the security gates at the entrance, that has decreased significantly.
