Ok guys can people tell me there secret disney Tips and must dos, things that maybe not common knowledge.

I have been to Disney when I was younger but did not know about things like

Touring plans
Hidden Mickeys
The fact that you can rent a boat at Epcot to see Illuminations
That if you book at certain restaurants in HS you can get preferred seating for Fantasmic.
Or the Kitchen sink Ice cream existed :)

This may be common knowledge to most people but when you are new to disney, planning it takes up most of your time just deciding what to take, when to visit each park and plan a budget.

So now I have finished going on and on :) Please could people share there secret tips or must sees/dos not just in disney but for surrounding area/attractions.

Teach us newbies a thing or two :)

Thanks

Sarah xx

I would personally say visit Hooters. It has an unfair reputation with people who have never been who think its a seedy bar for men, when in reality it is nothing like that at all!

The staff in the Lake Beuana Vista Hooters are all great, the wings are awesome and the beer is even cheaper. If you like sports or somewhere abit diffferent for food then it try it! The food isnt 5* but the wings are the best ive ever had!

Mickeys campfire singalong at ft wilderness - free and you meet chip and dale

I got alot of tips reading trip reports board (there is a uk one) - just started mine - will do a review of the campfire in a few days

If you are staying offsite - or parking at the Ticket & Transport centre to go to Magic Kingdom then use the Resort Monorail to get there.

We got off the tram and the queue for both the Ferry and Monorail to the Magic Kingdom were huge (arrived for opening). There were two people waiting for the Resort Monorail so we caught that one instead - it did stop at The Poly & Grand Floridian first - but it was still a lot quicker than the other options!

Thanks thats a great idea :)

I second the idea of the Chip n Dale Campfire Sing-along its a lot of fun
There is also a Segway tour at Fort Wilderness which is great (but not free like the campfire)

My DH wants a go on a segway so I am sure he will be up for that :)
