I need to know! What is this?

Do you book it? Is it public access? Can you have a private dinner out there?

I envision this out of the way (woo - woo) place that only the insiders know about!

I ask because I would love a private place to take DH as a surprise for an intimate drink ;) or two!

Who is on this Verandah? And what can be seen from it, and what has a view to it?

thanks

It's in the back of the ship- deck 7 aft. It has lounge chairs for relaxing with an early morning coffee or a great place for book reading. It is usually occupied by a few people but a great place to go if there aren't any pool chairs left and you don't have a verandah.

I really don't consider this the "woo- wooo" place you've envisioned! ;)

it is a "public" not "secret" place!

Still sounds good - not private but quite? How far from the pool?

Take a look at the deck plan for Deck 7.

Do you see the oddly shaped white space between staterooms 7138 an 7638 at the bottom (aft) of the deck plan? That's the Deck 7 Overlook, or the "secret verandah" as you call it.

There's a nice view of the ship's wake from there. For passengers with an aft, inside stateroom (especially those on Deck 7), that would be a convenient place to enjoy time on a large verandah (without spending the extra money for a private verandah).

LOL....me either..its not THAT out of the way...I brought my daughter out there every day and let her run around and burn off some steam and I am sure I will be brining her out there again on our next cruise...its a great place to let kidsburn off some energy since not many people go there so she is not bumping into anyone like on the other decks.
Our room was right next door to it so all we had to do was stand on our verandah and we could see the deck plus when we sat on our deck we could hear everyones conversations from there and the deck over it looks down on it....no "woo woo" going to be going on in private on there....

I don't think it is very "secret" anymore. We went out there the first sea day of our Magic cruise in February, and I expected it to be fairly empty if not completely empty, and I was surprised to see someone in almost every deck chair!

That's my plan...my first cup of morning tea before the rest of my troupe gets up (I'm the family's early riser). I don't care how many other people are out there at that hour, I just need my dose of fresh air and sunshine (hopefully).

BTW, we have inside, aft staterooms--7123 and 7125, so we're nice and close!

You have a full view of that deck from Deck 9 outside of Topsiders if you look over the railing....I took a pic of it last week. I would not try to do anything too "romantic" out there since you could have an audience!!!

This deck used to have 24 hour access, but things were happening out there such as teens smoking/drinking and other things so DCL nows locks the access door at about 11:00 pm or so each night.

On our cruise in March - the "secret" deck 7 (aft) was THE place to catch a smoke and make cell phone calls.
