secret porthole room - survey

Whose booked in a SPR room and ready to start doing a survey to report back to us? When you cruise ask the other 5 SPR rooms if they are DIS members - lol
Just read a post that most people who would have booked them would be DIS members cos who else would know? Except everyone who reads Barb's site?!
I may just need to ask the others when I see them in the hallway. Anyone with me on this?

Believe it or not, we have run into people who simply lucked into the secret porthole rooms and didn't know they would have a view until they arrived. That must be a really nice surprise...almost like an upgrade.
The funny thing is, some of the DCL reps. do not know about the SPRs either. I have received emails from people who have booked them asking me to confirm that they really do exist. People have been told everything from "They do not have a porthole" to "The porthole is covered with a mirror."

Our 1st DCL trip was in 5024 & we were told by both our TA & a DCL rep that there wasn't any type of window but it was a nice room that they had both stayed in!

We sailed in August and had 3 of the rooms. Of course non of them were ajoining rooms. We had 5520, SIL 5522, IL's 5020. My in-laws had only requested a category 10 (I think that's what it was) when they booked the cruise. When we were asigned the room numbers approx a month before we cruised, I discovered (from this site) that they were secret port hole rooms. My in-laws told the TA at AAA, who had never heard of them. So now probably everyone in Rochester NY that books through AAA knows about them.

When I called DCL last March to book our Jan. 2003 cruise, I asked for two adjoining cat. 10 rooms (not knowing anything about spr's yet). The TA started to give me deck choices and then she said, "oh, I see there are spr's on deck 5 that are still available" and she told me what they were. I was really excited and appreciative and booked them immediately!
