Has anyone ever sailed in this stateroom? I did the research and found out the stateroom was still available for our sail date. I am so excited to get the porthole for the inside rate. Thanks to this board and all the veterans. You all just made my first Disney Cruise experience that much greater. :p
I was able to find out if the room was still available threw
www.cruise-locator.com, if anyone is interested on checking available staterooms for your cruise dates.

We've cruised in connecting cabins 5022 & 5024 right next door. I can tell you that 5020 has the least obstructed view of the three and that we really enjoyed having that porthole for an inside cabin price.

I'd jump on it.

Being right by the forward elevator, how is the noise of the foot traffic. I am just so excited to get this stateroom. I am sure everything will be fine. I did change staterooms. We are now officially in stateroom #5020. Thanks for all your help. 416 days to go.:p

We were in 5020 on the 12/20/01 Wonder cruise and loved it. Excellent view and cabin location.

We never heard any noise from the hallway and would book this cabin again. We had to book a year in advance to get it.

Inkkognito's site has picture's of the view from these rooms. Check out www.disneycruiser.com or www.castawayclub.com . We tried to book this room (secret porthole rooms) for our January 2003 cruise a few weeks ago, but it was taken. In the end, we decided to get a category 9 (porthole) on deck 2. It would have been nice to save the $300.

Have fun!

Magic 319 day <--- I thought I was bad with my count.

There can be quite a bit of foot traffic since you are right at the beginning of the hall, but it's not all that bad considering that you are getting a "free" porthole :D
We have been in 5520 a few times, and the only other thing we've noticed is that you have a higher potential for having a large family or group next to you, since you are next door to two adjoining rooms. But although that seemed to cause more noise on a couple of occasions, it wasn't all that bad...you can find that in other locations as well. Overall, it's not a bad area at all. We already have secret porthole rooms booked through 2003!
