Secret Jeep Wrangler Society???

Disneynutbsv ---- try the Maine Mountains jamboree. It was so much fun, even with our "limitations" (don't wanna scratch the new grand, omg) They have a "101" course which helps you learn the ropes a bit. It's actually in the backyard of one of the locals, who built the course for the jamboree! Super nice people, and a really fun time.

Sounds like fun, I just checked it out and Yikes is it expensive! It would cost us $750 for the 3 day trip! I think if it was a little cheaper we could probably do it...but that's a bit out of our price range...oh well....

I know....that was one contributing factor in my DH getting out of doing it. He felt like the average family couldn't participate anymore (we had nothing to do with the prices, we were just the local coordinators). They were having a thing that if you paid for 3 the 4th was free, but I don't know if that is still on there or not.

Alternatively, you could check around and see if there are any 4WD clubs near you. They can be fun if you find the right one. Some are family friendly and abide by the rules of the road and some very much do not. I know that New England 4 Wheelers are a pretty good group of guys. We've been friends with their president for a long time and they do some easy trails along with hard core stuff and a lot of it is in N.H. Their website is www.ne4wi.org and if you have trouble figuring out their website, PM me and I'll give you his email. I just tried navigating thier new ebsite and it gave me a headache :badpc: but that could just be me!

Good luck and have fun with your Jeep!

Actually, Daisy D NOT wishful thinking. 5 years ago, we were tooling around in Daniel Boone National Forest with our club and came accross another Jeep Club who were kind enough to help winch out a Hummer. Apparently he thought he knew how to drive his Hummer offroad but he didn't have a clue- . Got himself into a real nice jam-was by himself, had no winch and no clue. He was a tad embarrassed and promised to get in contact with a local 4x4 club and learn how to drive off road and how to drive prepared... Just because you have a 4x4 doesn't mean you should be off road with it.
