secret Ideas for Anniversary (stay away stackyallred)

Forgot to add my 2 pennies on the romantic anniversary. Here is a tip I received when planning a date night for hubby & I.

I made reservations at the Grand Floridian for my DH and myself 2yrs ago.We had the private dining experience down at the marianna with your own private butler. They rope the area off and no one can bother you. Its you and the MK view. The food and dessert was timed perfect so that you were finished in time to snuggle up to watch the fireworks. It made you feel like the fireworks were just for you. It was so romantic. The Grand Floridian has a special place in my DH and my heart cause this is where we had our wedding reception and they were great then. They won't let you down.

I don't know if they still do this or not...but on our 8th anniv. My Dh set up a "quickie renewal of our vows" at the Garden Grill in EPCOT. This is the restaurant that goes around. I didn't know about this, but the waiter came up and surprisingly, in a funny way, made us renew our vows in front of everyone. Mickey was the 'Best Mouse'. :earboy2: Then we had to kiss until the restaurant guests counted to 100 (by 10's of course). Then they brought us a little cake to enjoy. This was the best- not so much romantic, but really neat and fun!!! Perfect from my hubby! When you have a 4 year old with you and you are expecting your little one too...this was as romantic as we could have stood at the time. :rotfl:

Best of luck in whatever you choose...anniversaries are meant to be celebrated at WDW. It is just magical any where you go!

What an adorable memory. How nice is that?

I do hope you were able to get a few pictures of that.

WDW just relights the love everytime we are there together.

It is so nice it has that effect on so many people.pixiedust: pixiedust:

Quick question about the buttons--

are you only supposed to wear them on your actual anniversary or can you wear them for your entire anniversary trip?

Where them 24/7. When your there. We did & loved it!

My husband surprised me with a gift basket from Disney Floral delivered to our room. It included a tiara, bottle of wine (we don't drink, so we brought it home), Mickey wine glasses, a silver bracelet, Ghiradelli chocolates (which I sent home with my sister & she ate them all! ), an 8x10 silver picture frame, and a rose. He attached a card that said something like, "I'm so glad that the slipper fit 10 years ago. You'll always be my princess." Then, he had me wear the tiara when we went out to dinner at Narcoosee's. It was very sweet & romantic!

Oh! I can't believe I forgot this part....

There is a crystal glass slipper in the basket too. We took it downtown to the Arribas Brothers and had it engraved with our names, 10th anniversary, and Happily Ever After.

Hello everyone,
My wife and I will be celebrating our 5th anniversary in september and I need some cool ideas. All are ADR's are already booked. My budget for the night, not counting food, is $100. I'm pretty versed in what's available like cruises and such, I am really looking for a really magical experience. Here's my problem she has become an addicted Diser (so she knows everything disney!) so I really want to come up with something that will really wow her and make her feel like a queen. Any Ideas?

By the way if there are any CM reading this, we are staying at POP Century and would love a room upgrade! I guess it never hurts to ask!
Congrats! We celebrated our Honeymoon in 1997 and our 10 yr at WDW... The one thing I wished for, was the small glass/crystal glass slipper, but it never happened... Alas I shall wait for the 15,20,25 for that one.

We had our fav dinner, watched the fireworks at Epcot, and when we arrived back to our room, my hubby had this wonderful basket delivered to the room with strawberries, champagne the bride and groom mickey ears and nice glasses. It was delivered to the room, which really was a nice surprise!

Too funny.

Last year my husband sent the same thing kind of. Well it was a dozen long red roses and the tiara and bracelet were in the flowers. He also sent with it a basket that had this red wine they sell in Epcot in Italy I think Rosa Regal??? It had mickey glasses and cheese and crackers and the bottom was a mickey head cutting board. I have it in my kitchen and use it still lol

It was great. It was in the room the day before my birthday when we arrived at night from being in one of the parks. I wore the tiara out too with my Happy Birthday pin and everyone kept saying Happy Birthday Princess. It was so special, especially where it was the 36th Bday and I was feeling bad about rolling down the thirties hill toward 40 :scared:

It was so romantic. They have the most wonderful things at the disney florist but whew it costs an arm and leg. I almost had a cow when I found out (after the trip) how much he spent.

I am doing the spoiling this next trip for our anniversary. He has no clue and I have found such wonderful tips and ideas on the DS boards.

Oh how I love how Disney makes you feel. So in love and so willing to spend an unlimited amount of money while your there :lmao:

We are going for our First Anniversary this year....we were married at Disney's Wedding Pavilion.

So far I have thought of two things (besides the wonderful ideas read here)...we're going to take a visit to the Wedding Pavilion to stroll around and I will be contacting the Cake Hotline to recreate the top of our Wedding Cake (we didn't save it, since we spent the week after the wedding at Disney) and have it delivered to our room. All they need to do this is a picture of the cake, a description, what you want written, a date and place you want it delivered in an email approximately 30 days before the trip.

Congrats to all the couples !!!! We will be there November 9th-15th celebrating our 15 year anniversary..WITHOUT KIDS:banana: . We are thinking about doing a couples massage at SSR or parassailing.:yay: Thanks for all the great ideas.

My DH and I are going to WDW for our first anniversary in September. We spent our honeymoon there last year. Any ideas on how to make it special for him? It's nice to know that there will be plenty of other couples celebrating that month as well.

What a great Idea! She will love it. You will have a Fantasmic tme. I suprised my husband with a suprise trip this past April for our 25th Ann. I booked the Platimun Plan for this trip and it was great. You should ck out that plan. There so much to do with that plan. Happy Early Ann. :).

My dh and I will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary this year. We are going on a belated trip and staying at AKLV concierge level. I had a little help with this one, but I have arranged with concierge to have a bottle of champaigne and a cake delivered to our room while we are out.

This is a cake very similar to the one that I have requested (I got this off of the cake thread)

They are long, but they both have tons of pictures, information, and ideas! Have fun!

Here is a run down of some of the previous things we have done to celebrate our anniversary while at WDW:

Discovery Cove. We have done this one twice as an anniversary gift to ourselves. Although it is not Disney per say, it is just a short ride away (it's right across the street from Sea World in Orlando) and it's another kind of magic all together. It's a very relaxed day. It's very romantic. It's enchanting. I highly suggest it to anyone looking for a different sort of fun.

Dining in Cinderella's Castle with a specially arranged dessert and them presenting us with champagne flutes in honor of our anniversary. It was a dreamy/fun meal and I would love to do it again.

Diver at the Coral Reef holding up a sign and a personalized menu. One of the first surprises I ever pulled off for dh (I usually end up spilling the beans, I am a big mouth when it comes to holding in happy plans). It was a LOT of fun and very touching for dh. It was a moment I will never forget.

The Wanyama Safari at AKL. Being taken right out on to the savannas of AKL with the animals roaming freely all around us was a spectacular way to celebrate our anniversary. They stopped the safari vehicle at one point and set up an open air "sun downer" experience right on the vehicle. They served us figs, dates, beef jerky, delicious juices and let us sit there and watch the sun go down. As we sat there a curious giraffe came and looked right over our shoulders. The kind safari guides even snapped a picture so that dh and I would never forget the special moment when we sat watching the sunset, sipping sweet refreshments as a giraffe peeked over our shoulders. The experience also includes a special meal at Jiko where you get to sample almost everything on the menu and even a few treats that are not listed. This meal was one of the best we have ever had. The chef who brought us our different courses and explained each one to us, the server who kept our drinks filled and made sure we had everything else we needed, the good company of the other couple who had also booked the safari (you eat as a group after the ride out on the savannas), the amazing food. It was a night I often dream about!

La Nouba. We actually saw La Nouba right after that amazing safari/meal at Jiko. It was a surreal and wonderful way to top off an already outstanding night.

Dinner at Narcoosee's. We had a personalized menu here and a postcard perfect view of the Magic Kingdom across the lake. We took our time and enjoyed a meal alone. We really enjoyed the food and really dragged this meal out with coffee and tea afterward. It was a very nice way to celebrate our marriage.

Those are things we have done in the past. This year I am planning on a meal at Artist Point followed by a carriage ride at FW.
My rough idea is to eat at Artist's Point and then go on a carriage ride. And I am trying to still think of something with "wow" factor to add to the night to make it spectacular. As of right now, I am thinking we might head over to the Poly and watch the fireworks on the beach while sipping a cool drink. OR we might head over on our own to MNSSHP and ride the big rides sitting next to each other (not something we normally get to do with four kids). OR we might head to ??? I am still in the process of planning this one.
