Secret Green Club - whatever number thread

Enjoy your time... It sounds like bliss..

I too am getting a massage on Saturday.

The place down from my house has a program where you can join their club and get a massage once a month every month, no fee to join or to quit, but it $59 a month.

You get a 90 minute deep tissue (or what ever you want) and I found that I really look forward to going, so I joined and now go once a month and it is so relaxing.

Have a great time with your friends in the water!

That is a fantastic deal! I'd be all over that one!

<~~~~~ sneaks in and quietly sits in the corner.

Tiny lil quack everyone. I've missed you but it just depressed me to come here without a trip to plan <wink>

It was a great weekend! I kinda ignored my kids, but they got over it! The weather was great & the crowds low at water country. got a bit of a shoulder burn but it didn't bother me. We did all the rides but 2 and skipped the wave pool cause we crashed after riding around the lazy river a few times.

Had a great time with the massage also. I had hyper extended my tricep muscles while at WC, but she painfully put it back in place. I would hate to think what it would have felt like if I had waited a few weeks. Ow owow!

I had a nice steak dinner at Texas Roadhouse afterwards and all felt right in my world. Then I got home and faced the laundry down! and the kids!!

Jeff did call me & tell me to come home now as my curfew was well past. I did get a laugh on that one!
:lmao:

Kat, that's cute about Jeff, and I'm glad you got your tricep back in working order.

Well we lost power yesterday afternoon again.... We had a bad thunderstorm roll threw with very high winds, hail, lots and lots of rain, and then it stopped and the sun came back out...

The power came back on after an hour. but the temp in the house rose to almost 90 degrees.

Thanks for the welcome gang, feels like coming home. I am gonna do my best to stay in touch but life has been very hectic . I am waiting to have a MRI and see a neurologist. <sigh> It's not that i'm looking for sympathy just letting you know.

There is a very slim chance that we are going to spend our 30 anni with the duck but that depends on several factors. So if it looks like i am ignoring this group (Kat in particular) I don't mean to, right now there are about 30 e-mails i have not even looked at, i just open the ones i know need responses such as certain bills that come to me instead of john.

So quack quack quack :thanks: I'll try to keep in touch

We're all happy to see you Jacqueline! It seems like a LONG while since I've seen you online! Hope all goes well with the MRI & neurologist.

Hi, everyone, the adult day sounds great Kat, and Brandi, great deal with the massages. I got a deal for Rick for father's day through Groupon, three 50 minute deep tissue massages for $99. He called to book them, but apparently was a popular deal, as they had no openings until August 18th or something like that. I don't do massages anymore, the last one I had threw my back out so bad that I wound up having to have the surgery on it. I want to try a hot rock or hot shell massage, but would have to be VERY low pressure, my back is just not something I am willing to mess with, so I stick with facials, mani/pedi's, etc for my pampering when I can get them.

We went up to Universal last weekend for the Miranda Cosgrove concert, got a chance to ride the new Minions ride and see the water/fireworks show, too, and also had several hours on Saturday afternoon and Sunday just to relax and hang out with my sis at her house (they asked us to stay with them, so got there @ noon, went to lunch, swam, they went to the park with us, then went to breakfast Sunday, more pooltime, and a late lunch before we drove home Saturday @ 3pm). It seems like practically forever since I spent time together, you all remember the war that was Mother's Day timeframe. I am so happy that we got a chance to enjoy each other's company.

Danielle, are you in Orlando this next week?? I can never keep track anymore, but remembered that it must be close for you. You'll have to let us know what you think of the AoA, I am so excited to hear!

The hot rocks massages are my favorites and they don't use a lot of pressure. I think you'd like them!

Thanks for the tip, PD. I have had hot rock hand and foot massage as part of a mani/pedi, and it was GREAT! so I think you are right too.

So what's everyone's plans for the weekend? I think we are taking the girls to Adventure Island (Busch Gardens' water park) for the day. We wanted to go to the beach, but there was just an article about high bacteria levels at the beaches due to all the runoff following TS Debbie, so I think I need to wait a bit longer before we go back. Beyond that we have church and then I will likely do some packing up of the extra dishes out of my china hutch, etc, I'm trying to pack up what I can in advance of the move next month, since I have to be out by 8/15 currently.

I am going to try to get some cleaning done around the house, and some work for work done as well. I also want to stop by the street festival that is held every year in my hometown. Weather is supposed to be great this weekend. If I can fit it in, I also want to get some kayaking in!

Next weekend we are going to Cape Cod! :goodvibes Kind of a last minute trip. Initially we weren't going this year because of the 2 college tuition thing going on next year, but we just got notice from Winnie's college that she is getting 2 more grants that we weren't expecting so now we can still go on our annual trek to Cape Cod!

Congrats on the grants and the trip! That will be wonderful!

I have a baseball game tonight braves vs nats, but calling for 80% chance of thunder storms...

Hi Peeps!!! I have a lot of catching up to do!!!

Hi Ducky!!!!! I am so glad to see you here!!!! :grouphug: Stick around a while!!!
I was wonderful and looking forward to having one every 4 weeks now!
That is cool! Was it at massage Envy by any chance? We just had one open near here and got a flyer for a similar deal. I am considering trying it (but in the end, will probably pot the $$ in the Disney fund instead...lol)

We are childless for the next few weeks and are living it up by repainting the family room/entry/hall. Yeah, we know how to party:rotfl2:

Crossing my fingers the rain holds out!

Heather, on your grandma. I know she's been ill for a while, but that sure doesn't make it easier to lose someone you love.

Well, we didn't end up making the water park, and it is raining like crazy again here. I did get some new flip flops, Yoga Mats by Sanuk, they are super comfy, and we got hair cuts in, got the dog to the groomer, so we still did quite a bit today.

PD, how awesome to be going to the Cape, that sounds great!

HHHeeellloooo!!!! Any one in the ROOMMM! Its been a moonntthhh sicce anyone posteedddd!

Wow! Busy summer much?

2 camps for Jeff, plus working at the Y almost daily, 1 camp for Krista and day camp daily, violin lessons started for Kris, high school starting for Jeff & we get to spend a week in Nags Head! I mean I live 2 hours away or so, and the kids have never been!

We got a house for a good deal and some friends are joining us, so I won't be worried about the kids being just me alone. another adult!! Yeah!

But school starts up right after we get back & I start back at the Y teaching again. Oh yeah, got 2 weeks off from there! Love it now not to happy about it at paycheck time, but thats the way it goes!

Update us on your limey summer!
