We went down to DC to see the fireworks once, and it was awesome, but the traffic and crowds were awful. We took the Metro in from Silver Springs, but it took forever to get back out, cause all the trains were full. This was years ago though....

..

We went about 4 years ago I think, we also took the Orange line from new carrollton, we both work at the puzzle palace and it allows us to go ont he ground there across from the river to watch. But if you think about how many people work here, it does not save us a lot. It was so crowded last time for us, I think that is why I am passing.

I have a check next to it on my Been there Done that list.

And you to let you know, I have been drinking this Van Gogh Vodka, it is Acai and Blueberry, straight up it is wonderful!

The Dutch Chocolate is second and third is the Espresso, it even has caffeine in it.....

My kids ran in the Volkslaufe race in Frankenmuth today...

Anthony ran a 10K (his very first) and came in 1st in his age division @ 51:15
Nickolas ran a 5K @38:57 beat his personal best for a 5k
Emily ran her first race a 2K and ran it just under 10 minutes..

I am such a proud mom today. Thanks for letting me brag..

Nick is in the lime green shirt (makes a mom proud ) He forgot his tanktop and the shirt he got for entering the race was huge on him. They were selling stuff at the race and we found this shirt. It was a small womans shirt (which he did not know) and that was the smallest they had. He was so excited. I told him that way I could see him coming from a long ways away and could cheer him on longer!

Me three! So hot here & muggy. I hate thick air!!!

We spent the whole weekend lolly gagging. Did a little, but not much. Felt so nice!! did see Transformers, which Krista did NOT like. Jeff saw it in 3D, Kris & I didn't.

She has been fussing about her tummy hurting and having issues with her bowels. She just turned 12... and says she is never having a cycle. Hmmm.... makes me wonder.....

Still waiting on getting the truck back, having to get the front of the house painted and there went the vacation money. <Sigh> And dealing with this year of firsts with the kids has all the fun of major surgery. But things are looking up, ....slowly!!

Hang in there T. Your schedule is always full and with the kids growing, getting fuller. Enjoy what you can, take a few deep breaths and keep moving forward. Call if you want to chat!
