it's crazy....I don't know how people pay for it. Especially if they are now hiring at $8/hr!!!

I agree, the insurance companies are pricing people into not having insurance. What is the story with the government health plans, does anyone know? We are so lucky that Rick works for the city, so gets Blue Cross for cheap, something like $75 a month for medical, dental, and vision for family now, and $15 copays for dr visits, etc. If we had to have through my job, the insurance premiums are something like $500 per month, plus you have to meet a $5000 deductible before the insurance pays a penny. It is insane!

We are very lucky. Mike's work has bcbs and its covered all we have is our $15 office visit.. I do feel blessed.

With what our company's contribute to the cost of health insurance it is cheaper for us to have separate policies. So DH has the kids on his policy and I have my own. We have to pay $200+ each month but we can go anywhere and see anyone and only have a $15 copay.

Vision and Dental there is no co-pay, so it is not perfect but it works for us right now.

Our health insurance is very expensive. Our deductibles and ER costs are high-unless they keep you. Most of the specialists are at the hospital so if I don't have to pay a deductible I then have to pay $50 for use of the hospital. Grrrr. I have a seperate insurance for vision and dental.

What's worse that people medical expenses are pet expenses. WOWZA! Good thing they are so cute!

They want more for Jeff alone than that! Because he has the "bi-polar" label, it jacks him to that price alone. 3 years ago, Krista & I were at 623.00 a month! Bill & Jeff... $975.00 a month. Yeah that didn't happen!

Not sure I want our health insurance to go this way, where a panel decides for you. It is sad for the family though.

Yeah, the could have done that! He had been "ready" but the place that had done the work wasn't the place I had done the paperwork at. So they had no idea where I was.

And yes, it was under 30 minutes. Seems they are "just down the road a ways". So I didn't get any bonuses or price cuts.

And yes, good thing our pets are cute! And warm & fuzzy and do the most sillest, laughable things so that we want to make sure they are healthy & happy!

Yeah, the could have done that! He had been "ready" but the place that had done the work wasn't the place I had done the paperwork at. So they had no idea where I was.

And yes, it was under 30 minutes. Seems they are "just down the road a ways". So I didn't get any bonuses or price cuts.
