It was a slightly later morning as there was no early entry today. We had breakfast in the little take-away place which was good value and fine. We headed to Universal studios, obviously taking a photo on the way!
We went straight for Diagon Alley. I was in Potter-heaven! Every little detail made me happy - even the dust on the shop window-sills. The dragon on Gringotts was particularly impressive and I stood for a long time just marveling at it.
I loved all of the detail and made the whole family trail around after me while I explored the whole area! We hardly had to queue for Gringotts which surprised me as I was anticipating a long wait. I loved the ride but preferred the Forbidden Journey. After this we went on a variety of other rides including Despicable Me which was great fun.
We did Revenge of The Mummy which was one of my favourites. DH and the girls did The Simpsons but I didn't fancy it. I really wished we had done Shrek too but didn't have time. We ate in Mo's Diner which had really good choices to satisfy all of the fussy eaters I have to travel with lol.
We went on the ET Adventure as I had fond memories of it from 1997 in Universal in California. It failed to impress my kids who said it was lame. I still think it held a certain charm. The girls rode Rip Ride Rocket twice and once when it was dark. We boarded the Hogwarts Express and rode it both ways.
I loved all of the details and the special effects, in particular the walking through the wall on Platform 9 3/4.
There was too much to do in 2 days and I felt that we would have enjoyed a slower pace had we had another day or two. I will definitely return and would prefer 5-7 days. We headed back to HRH to check out and got our transfer to Old Key West...let the Disney magic begin!!
