My family typically eats after 7:00, so my children being hungry is not really what concerns me. However, I am a little concerned when I read that my children will miss part of the Pirate party due to our second seating on the Dream. Do I need to start requesting to move to first seating? My children are 4 and almost 3. I want them to enjoy themselves, but I want to have some Mommy Daddy time also, if second seating is going to prevent some of the fun, I will request. I wasn't concerned about this until reading some reviews and realizing they might miss out on stuff. Anyone out there with young kids that have done second seating, what do you think?

I'll have a better idea in a couple of weeks! We have second seating. From what I understand we should be able to make the party. If it looks like dinner runs long (based on previous nights), we could have another option that night, and make sure that we are at the party!

We had first seating, but had booked Palo for Pirate Night. Earlier in the day, we received a call to see if we would also be using our main dining table that night or not (ie., maybe for kids' dinner?), because they had some requests from people who wanted to switch for just that night. So that may be a possibility for you -- not sure who you would ask about this, though.
