I just got my confirmation notice for our $99 cruise which we are taking Nov. 7th. We got stuck with second seating for dinner. We had first seating on our cruise in January and liked it. Did any other $99 cruisers get confirmed for first seating? Can I change my dinner time?

we're sailing for the first time on the Wonder in the summer.....
may i ask you why you liked the first seating?...
according to our confirmation we were assigned to the first seating for our cruise.....we were planning on changing to the second seating so that we can go to the early show......
plus have fewer little kids in our seating.....
so i'm curious why you prefer the early seating...

I would call DCL and ask for first seating. Sounds like whoever booked the reservation booked it as if it were a cast member sailing (they are not guaranteed dining) but you should still be able to have the dining time that you want, unless it is already full, which I hardly believe that first seating is full this far out.

I have a friend who had trouble booking the $99 special because the ships were filling up fast, so it's posible that the first seating is full on your dates.

LibertyBelle--just curious--does your name have anything to do with Philadelphia?

No, Rikersmom my name is actually after the LibertyBelle Riverboat in Liberty Square at Magic Kingdom. I used to work there and am a huge fan of steam powered Riverboats :)

I booked the 99 for 10/10 - got first seating, had first seating! - like first seating!

When I booked my 99 cruise..I forgot to ask about dinner seating. Since we had late last
time and on all of our other cruises too...I just assumed. When I pulled up the reservation
on the computer...we had early seating. I just called DCL back...and it was changed immediately to late seating.

This far out..their shouldn't be any problem.

We booked the 11/7 cruise last week and were still able to get first rotation dining. If you want to switch to 1st seating, I would suggest that you get yourselves on the wait list ASAP. The sooner you do, the more likely that you will get switched.

We were waitlisted for 1st seating on the January 19th Disney Magic (booked 58 days before we set sail) and the wait list came through for us.

See you in November!!!

We are booked for October 10th with the $99 voucher and we are confirmed for 1st (main) seating.

We are booked for October 10th with the $99 voucher and we are confirmed for 1st (main) seating. I would call NOW and be put on a waiting list.

Those of you who prefer first seating, can you tell me why?
We're crusing for the first time in the summer and I'd like to know what i should ask for, early or late.....
Thanks in advance...

We prefer first seating because we usually eat our evening meal earlier than the 8:30PM time that is associated with second seating. We have friends who had second seating and they loved it because they did not feel hurried to leave the restaurant. If you have first seating, you have to vacate the restaurant in time for the servers to prepare for the next group. I suppose that there are advantages and disadvantages to both seatings, but our preference is for the earlier one.

disneyholic family,
We prefer 1st seating because we normally eat around 5:30-6:00. 2nd seating doesn't eat until 8:30. That is a little late for us. They do however have plent of food you can snack on until dinner if you are on 2nd seating.

We're just back from 1/26 Magic. We had 2nd seating and loved it. We were able to enjoy the whole day on the ship, then nap, and then have dinner. Order the cheese and crackers place from room service...yum...yum! We traveled with DD 8 months. Our tablemates had a 3 year old and then fed him before dinner and he just enjoyed the activity and his parents weren't concerned with what he ate at dinner!
