I'm staying at All Stars next week. Turns out, a friend will be in town at the same time. I'd like to get her a room for one night. I'm AP, so the rate is decent.

Question: if I book the second room in my name, do I risk messing up the magic band? IE, can one band open 2 rooms?

I'd like the discount and avoid the hassle of creating a profile for her for just one night.

We did this last year for our daughter and her family. We had AP's. We put the room in our son-in-law's name but they still gave him the discount. We paid the bill. No problem with our bands at all. I think you are allowed up to three rooms with the discount.
We are going again this year. I just called today to make reservations with a code we received. They let me reserve two rooms. I was going to put both of them in my name but the CM said that I couldn't. Only one room can be in my name at a time but she still applied the code to both rooms.
