Second Guidebook...

As I expected I did receive a second guidebook in the mail yesterday. I had called MS and complained about a month ago that I hadn't received mine yet, and the CM, who was very pleasant, told me to expect it in about two weeks. Well lo and behold I received a guidebook in the mail the next week.

I started thinking to myself hmmm...I'll be this was my original one, and I'll bet I will be receiving a second one. Sure enough it showed up.

Sorry to all of you out there that still havent received one. Think I am going to despine this one, three-hole punch it, and put it in a nice binder. If it comes out good, that is what I'll be doing from now on.

Boy, I have "guidebook envy". I've called and complained, Emailed and complained. MS even called me 2 weeks ago to verify that I had gotten it after my original complaint. Still no guidebook here! What are the magic words I need?

Still waiting in MA too. I called MS yesterday and was told that they had more on order and mine should be coming soon!! Now, wouldn't you think they would order enough for the number of members they already have and more for the potential members! I'll be patient a little while longer! Annmarie

I can't give you any tips since I didn't get a guidebook last year. This year it only took one call....though one where I was very insistent and told them about the numerous times I called the previous year and never received a book. My guidebook came about a week later.

My only suggestion is to stay on top of it and mark down every call, how long they say it will take, and call back if you don't have it by then. Also, don't accept an answer other than one that indicates the cm is actually doing something to try to procure a guidebook for you. I had several who just blew me off with a "oh, they're not all sent yet" or "really? Well, we don't handle that" and finally "well the new one should be coming out soon....."

This has been my only major complaint with DVC!

I emailed MS about a month ago (after that email came to all members) and MS was kind enough to send me one. They said to expect it within 2 weeks. I did receive the one copy but not the original copy, but one was enough for me. At least I got mine where others still (for some reason) had not.

Still waiting here too. DO you know if you can pick one up while you are at Disney? I will be there in a couple of weeks and it would be easier that trying to get one from MS. (or so it appears )
