SeaWorld vs MGM Studios for 6 & 3-1/2 year old

Any recommendations? We're staying in New Smyrna and are only coming over to Orlando for one day. Both parks seem to have mostly shows and only a handful of rides. We've done Magic Kingdom 3 times already, so that's why we're thinking of branching out.

For us, it would be Sea World without a doubt. My kids loved the freedom of seeing the animals without lines...going to shows...kiddie rides.

The last time we went to MGM...it was still called mgm...the boys were 2 1/2 and 4 and it was by far their least favorite park...we were done in a half a day...and we had a long sit down lunch! I love the tower of terror and the roller coaster, but lil' ones can't go on it.


Sea World is great! Have fun whatever you choose..

I have been to both several times, and when I ask my 6 and 4 year old what is their favorite park in Disney they both say Seaworld!! We had such a great time the last time we went! I suggest taking it slow, and doing whatever you can. There is no race to get it all done, if you don't there will be something left for your next trip. (My favorites are the dolphin show, feeding the dolphins, which is extra $, but so worth it, and touching the mantarees)
I also love Disney Studios, but it is a little harder to get around w/little ones, and I also felt like it was more hot. It did not feel like there was a lot of shade and the kids were a little irritated from the heat. However, they have the playhouse Disney show and the little Mermaid, the Muppets and a couple of good restaurants as well. As an adult, Disney Studios is my favorite. But thinking as a child, I would still have to say Seaworld.
Whatever you choose, have a great time. They are both wonderful, and much better than a day at work!

Here's another vote for SeaWorld! I think MGM (Hollywood Studios) is geared more toward older children.

Another vote for Sea world. My boys are 4 and 2 - they both loved it. So much to see, touch, and do. We do 2 slow pace days since it is buy one day get one day and it works out great for us. Make sure you feed the sting rays and/or the dolphins in the morning! The boys loved the sting rays and the dolphin encounters! We like MGM...but love seaworld!

My boys are 5 and almost 3 and they LOVE Sea World!!! It is very interactive and they still talk about it!

I vote for SEAWORLD.

Hollywood Studios has mostly Show based attractions...and we found ourselves doing allot of waiting in our seats for Show X to start...and then going to Show Y and waiting again. If we had not went during Star wars Weekends

While SeaWorld has it's fair share of shows...the wait did not seem as bad...maybe because the shows were allot better...not to mention if you or DH are roller coaster fans...the Kraken ROCKS!!!
