We're planning a few days in SD before heading up to the craziness that will be the opening of Carsland. Thinking about possibly meeting some cousins at the Zoo on June 15, and really want to go to SeaWorld on June 16. (Friday and Saturday, not ideal but the timing fits in with the rest of our trip.) This will be followed by 3 park days at DLR from 17-19 for just me and DS5; DMom & DNeph14 will head home at that point. We'll be staying at the Courtyard in Old Town so transportation from the hotel to SeaWorld is free.

I have an AP to DLR, DS5's expired, so we'll probably get him the SoCal CityPass as its seems to be worth it just for SeaWorld and the 3 day DLR hopper. What's the cheapest way to get tickets for myself, Mom, & nephew for just SeaWorld? I've seen the prices on Ares and GetawayToday ... is there anyplace that reliably runs specials that are any better? We're Costco members if that helps, and have friends who can pick up tickets for us in NorCal if there's any places that run specials up there (ie. Safeway, etc).

Costco.com has a 3-for-1 San Diego Go Card that includes 7 days of unlimited admission to Seaworld, the San Diego Zoo, and the San Diego Safari Park for $99 for adults and $84.99 for children.

Maybe a SD local can speak up. When I was down there I saw SW deals on Coke cans every now and then.

This is our plan too. We are planning on hitting all three of those parks while in SD, so it made the most sense math wise. I am working on the BOGO tickets for Legoland. Usually I see them everywhere but the last few we have gotten are for the new park in Florida only.

The Costco pass seems like a great deal, unfortunately my family will only have time for Seaworld as we are going to DL as well. Does anyone know of any single day discounts for Seaworld?

Thanks in advance.

A good one, is to take Grayline, which at the regular Seaworld price includes tranport from Anahiem hotel for free. You don't get the full park hours of SW, but don't have to worry about driving or pay for parking. It's a bit of a trade off, but a nice option for many who are going to DL and SW is a side trip.

Thanks skiingfast! We are actually starting in San Diego as I will be attending a conference and then travelling to DL. Thanks for the suggestion, though.

We are doing a similar trip that week, which will be our first trip to San Diego. Here's one deal I've found:

Our AAA office sells 7-day SeaWorld tickets, Adult: 64.85 & Child: 56.30, which is about $8.00 off the gate price. Prices may vary depending on where you are. These can be ordered online too:
http://www.calif.aaa.com/en-ca/find-discounts/Pages/attractions.aspx

If you show your AAA membership card at the gate you save on SeaWorld and SD Zoo tickets.

Our SD hotel (Comfort Inn) sells discounted SD Zoo tickets ($4 off) and SeaWorld ($5 off) tickets, so you could check with your hotel.

If you need tickets for both the SD Zoo and SeaWorld, that SD 3-for-1 ticket deal through Costco has the best price.

For Legoland, here's a $10 off a Legoland parkhopper:

We're waiting for a Legoland BOGO coupon, too.

Thanks for the AAA info. That sounds like the best deal for single day tickets. I thought about Legoland, but I think my boys are too old for it.

Taco Bell's here in Phoenix have $20 off coupons for 1 day passes to Seaworld. Someone else local maybe able to see if SD area has the same coupons.

If we used $20/off for 1 day, can the savings be kept if upgrading to a fun card or AP or is SW like DLR which credits amount paid rather than gate price when upgrading?
