We've been to Seaworld once before but didn't really do any rides. I always have a hard time imagining rides even if I read descriptions. It would be great if someone could give me an idea of what the various rides are like. Obviously, I can guess what the big coasters are like (and they are definitely out of my comfort zone).

Kids are not thrill-seekers so not sure if there is really anything for them to ride. How is Atlantis compared to Splash Mountain (about as wild as we would dare)? I seem to remember there are some kiddie rides - is there an age limit? Older ds will turn 11 during our trip and might be too old???

We haven't been since Atlantica opened, so I can't tell you anything about that. But Atlantis is I would say less intense as far as hills, more intense storyline than Splash. Turtle Trek is a standing 3D movie experience for the whole family, and we liked it a lot. Shamu's Seaport has kids rides, a few are very young, but my girls are 13 and 15 and both go on several of the kiddie rides, so no I wouldn't say yours are too old.

Well, we road the Sea Carousel at Christmas......and the youngest in our family is 17 :rolleyes1 :

'Cause we're all just big kids at heart, right? ;)

The SkyTower is a slowly revolving room (fully enclosed) which offers great views of the SW parks and is as mild as it gets. Good for everyone :thumbsup2 .

Wild Arctic is a motion simulator, but has a non-motion side for those that can't tolerate the movement. I get motion sick quite easily but I was still able to handle the motion side at Christmas (when it was rethemed for the Polar Express).

My boys LOVE Manta......its their favourite coaster ANYWHERE.....but let's just say its not for this old girl. They also enjoy Kraken.

At shamus happy harbor you can ride all the rides. There is a height limit but that is only for kids riding alone. Only ride there that has a height limit wether you ride with an adult or not is shamus coaster. Its very mild kiddie coaster. They have the carousel, a train ride (really for littles not fun for big ones), a jelly fish ride ( you go up in the air and each jellyfish spins around like you do an the tea cups you control it while the main part spins around too), forget the name something wave its like a big boat that rocks back and forth while turning side to side. I think I am missing one more but can't remember. Atlantis yes if you have littles who get scared easily there is one part that is a little scary. My DD doesn't like it but just closes her eyes through that part.
