I know, this is a Disney board, but we are gonig to WDW in Oct and are doing at day at Seaworld. My question is...has anyone does the meal with Shamu? The one that is around $37pp, it's a seafood buffet and you can ask the whale handlers about the animals.

Was it worth it, or should we skip it?

TIA!

I've done it at Sea World of San Antonio, we loved it. I believe my son was 2 at the time and had a blast. The food wasn't A+ but it experience was awesome! I couldn't tell you if it differs in Orlando though?!

We just did this in June. My DS LOVED it, they were so excited to eat with Shamu. I thought the food (buffet style) Was great, my DH said he didn't care for it much. It is expensive. That being said, request a table close to the tank. Have fun!
Oh, I almost forgot, the trainers come to all tables towards the end to answer questions and take pictures. They will even sign your special "backstage pass" with their name and also Shamu.
The only thing I wasn't crazy about was the time, the dinner was at 3:15 and we did eat a light lunch but really weren't very hungry at 3:15.

We just did this in San Antonio on Aug 2. The food was average, not any seafood, though. It was turkey, sausage, mashed potatoes, rolls, etc and kiddie buffet with macaroni, corn dogs etc. We literally sat less than 10 feet from Shamu the kids loved it. The trainer was very nice and answered many questions for us and others
