We are a family of four (son 20 and daughter 17) and although we have been to Orlando several times, this is our first ever trip to Seaworld. I have read through the site but I have a few questions. We are travelling from Apr 25-May 6 but we are not sure of the exact day to go to Seaworld. Is there a better day? What are the shows/attractions we really must see? We aren't big roller coaster fans but we do like attractions like Big Thunder/Splash Mountain. We plan to stay the entire day--are there any nightime fireworks, etc.? We will probably just eat fast food, any suggestions on the best places for something other than burgers? I know it is a lot of questions but I want to plan now so that we don't wander around and miss the good stuff! Thanks for your help!:goodvibes

Shows - Believe is the top attraction. We love all the shows and would recommend trying to see them all. If you can't get to one, I would probably vote for Pets Ahoy - my DD age 8 loves it but I can see where it wouldn't appeal to older ones. It is inside in the a/c however so if you need to cool off, it is a good place to go. We also like the animal feeding areas.

Rides - We don't do them so can't comment. Love the exhibits though - you don't have to do the ride to see Wild Arctic.

Food - Seafire Inn has lots of options and is "fast" food - beware of long lines. Otherwise, the Hospitality Center. If you want TS, Sharks Underwater Grill is very nice.

Fireworks - don't know; never managed to stay that late!

Basically they only have fireworks during the summer at SW.

My sons are in their 20s but love SW. They do ride Kracken though. It has loops and is pretty tall and fast but one of the smoothest coasters in the state.
Atlantis has drops, no loops, and you do get wet.
Wild Arctic is basically a movie with seats that move a little if you do the ride. You can do the walk through and sit in stationary seats for the movie.

shows---In order that my guys like them ---
Clyde and Seamore( get there at least 10 minutes early to see the mime)
Pets Ahoy cause the animals are soo cute and they would like to bring one home wth them
Artic Adventure ( we no longer do the ride or the walk through but just go down to see the wa;lrus, polar bears, and Belugas.
Shark Encounter to see the acquariums and the sharks(they surf so like to show me the kind they see when out on their boards)
Blue Horizon
Believe

They like to spend time feeding the dolphins, rays, and sea lions. We always go see the manatees to see how they are doing( even though we have about 20 near a local dock most of the year.

Eating. skip Sea fire- it has the worst food in the park as far as I am concerned. I only had the burger there but it was not so hot. I only saw a couple things on the menu and nothing sounded good when I was there. We ended up there because the line was shorter on a very busy day, but even then there were no tables. People ate standing around tables.

Depending on what yoa'll like to eat there is a big variety.

Smokey Creek has great BBQ brisket, chicken, and rib platters that come with roll and fries. You can get 1 mweat or a combination of 2 or 3. We eat one meal there almost every time we are in the park.

Voyagers Our 2nd favorite place. they have pizza and fries platters, orange chicken and veggies platters, pasta platters, and salmon platters (all I can remember right now. Everything is good. Cafeteria style

Mango Joes has fahitas, chicken strips, garden wraps etc. which are pretty good.

The deli at the hospitality house has really good turkey or beef sandwiches

We have never eaten at the Sand Bar or Spice Mill cause to tell you the truth, I have never heard anyone say the food was really good.
Captain Petes has chicken strips and hot dogs but never eat there either.

Mama's kitchen has health food type meals, but have never really checked to see wat they have even though that is probably where we should eat. <g> Anyone have an opinion on Mama"s?

Last time at Sea World we ate at SeaFire Inn. It was excellent and there were no lines. We didn't go right on lunch hour however. Pretty much walked in, went through the line and got great seats. We got burgers and they were big and very tasty. Prices are extremely reasonable, especially for a park, and our kids liked the plastic Shamu boxes their food came in. They used them for "treasure" boxes the rest of our vacation. Still have one with some sand and shells from Daytona Beach in it. We are currently planning our upcoming vacation and Seafire Inn is on our list if we don't do Sharks Grill.

The Hopitaliy house is good, you get free samples of beer and I understand you can do a beer making tour.We get there as early as we can & stay until the end. This year we hope to spend 2 days there but you can fit it all into 1 full day.

The Budwiser Deli is GREAT!
(And no we aren't even beer drinkers)
It's Quick,The sandwiches are hugh! It tastes wonderful. And it's great to eat something quick other than burgers because that is what we eat at all the other parks since we like quick places rather than fine dining.

As for the shows if you look at your schedule as soon as you go in. Asuming you go as it opens you'll be able to see all the shows. Skip the looking leisurely at the fish, sharks, turtles, sting rays ect. for when your done with the shows.
