After spending weeks on planning for Disney - I realized that I had yet to conquer SeaWorld. I would greatly appreciate any advice for planning the day.

We will be going on Wednesday August 25th (Me, Hubby, DD 11.5 and DD 10 (it is her birthday that day!))

We can get there at opening and have purchased the penguin encounter which requires us to check in with guest services by 10 - but doesn't give us a specific tour time yet.

Any advice for a touring plan/strategy for the day?

Thank you!!!

Best piece of advice I can offer you at the moment is to go the Sea World site and look at all the different shows and times for those shows. You can get the shows times for your specific day already. They only offer them at certain times of the day. So part of your planning will be which shows you want to see and at which time. Also, look at the park map and familiarize yourself with it. This will be important when you want to get to one show to another. You don't want to see Shamu, then try to go all the way across the park to catch the dolphin show.

We've always found it best to start with the Blue Horizons (Dolphin Show) then work our way around. It's to the left as you first get into the park, Then work your way around going to the right. Usually going this way, you can see the other animal exhibits in between shows.

Without knowing the specific time for your Penguin Encounter Tour, it's hard to come up with a good solid plan. So you might want to make a couple of touring plans for different times. May want to call Sea World and find out what the usual times are for this tour.

If you want to ride the rides, hit those first thing. Lines for those can get very long. Hopefully they won't be too bad when you go. Most kids should be back in school by then.

I will send you a pm how I would tackle the park for the day based on the hours they have posted now.

Have fun at SW.

Thank you so much for the tips. Your email was very helpful - and I will call and see if SeaWorld can give me more specifics on the tour time.
We'll definitely be squeezing in the coasters - as although my girls are young, they are thrill seekers!

Again, thanks.
