During our SeaWorld Christmas trip in December 2012, we were able to purchase a CD of all of our photos taken by park photographers for $40. It was a fantastic deal that we were very pleased with!

Since we have another SeaWorld Parks trip coming up in August, I thought I'd inquire as to the current photo CD pricing to see if it had increased since our last visit. I received an email reply this morning, and thought I would share it with the rest of you:

Hello Gina,

Our current Photo CD price is $75 this includes photos taken for one day at SeaWorld. If you add an additional day and/ or Aquatica photos to your Photo CD, there is a $25 upcharge.

If you happen to do a special tour while visiting our park such as our Beluga Interaction Program, there is a separate charge for any photos taken, currently the price Tour Photo CD price is $50.

Please keep in mind that there are restrictions as to which photos can be added to your Photo CD as well as the locations at which they are available. Please be sure to ask at time photo is taken for details.

Please keep in mind that our prices and/or products are subject to change at any time without notice. Thank you.

Best Regards,

Danielle

So.....definitely an increase in cost since December 2012! Must have become a very popular item along the way.

Thanks so much Gina for posting this....I wasn't even aware they had a photo cd at SW so it is worth thinking about. I especially like that I can add our Aquatica day and another SW day. I wonder if the 2nd SW day needs to be added in a particular time frame....ie 14 days.

Can I also say Gina, that all of your posts are so so helpful to newbies like us and we truly appreciate all of the info you share :thumbsup2

Thank you :goodvibes

You are very welcome :goodvibes . I have received so much help from these boards in the past, its so nice to be able to give back! :)

I also love the feature of being able to add the Aquatica pics. Sometimes the waterpark photos are some of the most memorable....they tend to capture such fun, spontaneous moments!

Yeah you're right. It's a no brainer for me.....we will want pictures as momentos (I'm a sucker for professional shots) so $100 for both parks seems fine wih me :thumbsup2

Can't wait! Roll on 12 weeks :cool1:

This thread also seems like the right place to post this photo offer that is currently running at SeaWorld.

From the "Extras" page on the website:

http://seaworldparks.com/en/seaworld-orlando/book-online/extras/allextraspage/?from=Top_Nav

SeaWorld Orlando 50% Off Photo

Receive one 6x8 photo for only $10.00. That's 50% off regular price.

•Valid for advance purchase only.
•Valid at any SeaWorld Orlando photo location through May 31, 2014.
•No other discounts apply.
•Voucher must be redeemed at time of purchase.
•Online price reflects 50% off full-paid single photo available at the park.

The also had this offer available until December 31st, 2013, then extended it....so those of us with trips that fall later this year, its possible they may choose to extend this deal for a second time past the current May expiry.

Is the photo CD similar to the Photo's from Disney? Are there people around the park taking pictures? Or is it just from the rides? Do you have a card that they use to track the photos to? Do you purchase it at the park only?

Lot's of questions! I love the Disney photo pass. I like the extra photos you get also. Trying to figure out what extras I need to purchase or if it is worth it! :) My husband may not like all the extras I want to purchase! :rolleyes1

Thinking of getting the Discovery Cove package (I think that one is a must have!) and debating on the Disney one (we are only going to be at the Disney parks 2 days.). Starts to add up on the costs!

There are various photographers around the park (at the entrance in particular), but not nearly as many as there are at the Disney parks. There is also a photo location located at the Sky Tower, during Christmas at two different snow globe locations, there's a sharks photo kiosk, and there might be more....hopefully others will also chip in.

The CD itself is less modifiable.....you can't take one photo and make it into 4 different ones, for example, by adding your own selection of borders. Some of the pics will have borders, and those you can't take off. Basically whatever is on the CD is it....you can't modify the pics with a selection of SW options like you can on a Disney CD.

Or is it just from the rides?

I don't think the ride pics are included, but they might be for an extra charge. I would ask (or maybe email them?).

Do you have a card that they use to track the photos to?

On our last visit, they were paper claim tickets. Aquatica's photo claim tickets are paper-like wrist bands.

Do you purchase it at the park only?

Yes, ma'am! Its not available for pre-purchase.

I agree....especially if you are doing the dolphin swim!

See my responses above :) . Let me know if I missed anything!
