I am going to Orlando from 10/16 - 10/23 and staying off site in Lake Buena Vista. We are planning one day at SeaWorld. I was wondering how it would be to go on a Sunday. The reason for this is during the week they close at 6:00, but on Sunday they are open until 8:00. This would even make the dining plan more worth it. What do you think about crowd levels on a Sunday compared to a week day?

Weekends in October are when Seaworld does their "Halloween Spooktakular" This event is free with park admission. You will get halloween themed shows and a Shamu Rocks show at night. Shamu Rocks is only featured for special times of the year like spooktakular weekends, spring break and summer break. If you have kids, they could go dressed in a costume and go around to candy stations throughout the park and collect candy. Again this is free with park admission. You will meet costumed characters and have a blast! It will be busier on spooktakular weekends as opposed to a weekday in October when Halloween activities are not going on. But I think its worth it!

Oh I didn't realize that they did that on weekends in October. We went two years ago and we went on Halloween night and really enjoyed it!! It didn't seem to get very busy that night until the trick or treating started, but that was only in one part of the park. I guess a Sunday is better than Saturday. It might be a fun surprise for my niece and daughter I guess!!

Trick or Treating at SW starts at 11 or 12. We went last year on Halloween and it was quite crowded.

Yes Sunday is way better than a Saturday! That would be an awesome surprise too! Hope you have fun!
