Hi , my hubby ,myself and 7 yr old will be in orlando for a family vacation early oct, we will visit disney world and Seaworld is exclusively for ME (MOMMY) I love Shamu, this is our first trip to sw and i have no clue what to expect or do, i know i want to see the Shamu show as well as swim with the dolphins or at least get a kiss from them, so my questions are... Is Discovery Cove and sea world same place? We are using military one day tickets so i want to get my swim in as well as the show.

well i pushed wrong button and wasnt finished so my question is could i do all this in one day,? i've dedicated on full day to sw. Do they also provide the wet suits or life vest and do they have plus size vest?? Thanks in advance!!

Sea World and Discovery Cove are two seperate parks. At Sea World you can see the shows (like Shamu), ride rides, and feed the dolphins. Discovery Cove is the park where you swim with the dolphins.

We're going in October too! At Sea World, you can get your one day ticket stamped for a second free day. Since hours are limited, usually closing at 6 duing the week, you may want to consider a second day at Sea World. But you may be able to get everything done in one day if its not crowded.

You can pet dolphins at Sea World, but you can't climb in and swim with them....you'd have to pay for Discovery Cove for that.

We've planned two days for Sea World. The Believe show is worth seeing twice. We also loved the Sea Lions and the sharks.

I've read on the weekends, Sea World does something for Halloween, which may interest your 7 year old.

There's a few private tours at Sea World that only take a couple hours of your day. That way your hubby and son can do other things while you enjoy the interaction, or they can watch from the sideline. Like the Bulaga whale experience, they take you to the side of the tank, and you sit on the ledge. They show you different commands to give the whales, and they do them for you, you also get hugs and kisses and splashes from them. Wet suit is provided, and a photographer will take pictures for you (I don't know if the prints are included though). And your hubby and son can watch from the regular veiwing area on the other side.

If you decide on Discovery Cove it's about 200$ per person, the swim with dolphin experience is a seperate price and optional. It a very private water park, only about a 1,000 guests max for a day. You'll also get like 7 days of free entrances to Sea World and Aquatica. But some one who's done it could tell you more about what you get with it.

I think it would be better to do a Bulaga Whale experience, and then a Dine with Shamu for Dinner, so you'll get a private section to sit in for the show. Sorry it's not in the splash zone. The food at the table service is very good and worth it, the food at counter service is so so. I've had a few good meals but nothing that tasted great and was worth the price.
Take advantage of your second day free as well. It's hard seeing all the shows in one day, because they have a way of scheduling shows so they're at opposite ends of the park. So plan on 1 show per hour. 1/2hr show, 15 minutes prior to get a seat, and 15 minutes afterwards to get to the next show.

Unless you plan on being here for like 2 weeks, plan what you want to see and don't be dissappointed in what you don't see. It's very hard to cover all the bases in one trip.

The halloween spook-tacular is every weekend in October, and it's included in the admission. There's also the Mickey's not-so-scary halloween parties at Disney, that's about 40-50$ per person, seperate admission.
