Hi everyone and I want to thank you all in advance for your responses.

We are heading to Orlando the first week in March and would like to do Sea World with our two boys ages 4 and 2.

How is Sea World for these ages?

Is there any special dinners, events, etc. that we should definitely do?

Has anyone done the dinner with Shamu and is it worth it?

Lastly, has anyone done the dining plan at Sea World and is it worth it?
Thank you!

We went 2 years ago when my 2 oldest kids were 3 & 5 and they absolutely loved it. We spent a lot of time in Happy Harbour, they actually liked the rides there better than Disney, I think because there were no lines. We are heading back there next week. The shows and interactive areas are great. My kids loved the Clyde & Syemour show, and the Shamu show. They also loved watching the flume ride (forget the name) come down the hill & splash. I think we stood there for about an hour while the adults took turns going on the roller-coaster. Its a nice clean beautiful park, we really loved it.

Can't help with dining as we only did counter service. Thinking of doing either Shamu or the shark encounter restaurant next week but haven't decided which one.

Like Katie stated, your boys will love Happy Harbour, a HUGE playground area. They will love the shows as well, seeing all the different types of mammals. The skytower is pretty neat as well.

As far as eating, I too have only done the over the counter food. Although I have read on these forums that dinner with Shamu is pretty good, make reservations asap. I think it has to do with seating if I remember right. :)

1. SW is fantastic for kids your age for all the reasons stated before.

2. They have a Sesame Street Show (Elmore and Abby's Treasure Hunt) for the kids. Usually there is a meal with SS characters during the summer months; but think it is always breakfast(need reservation) . Could be wrong though. If the kids like animals at all they will love Pets Ahoy , too.

3. Have never done the Shamu dinner. We have always liked the CS meals at SW .

4. We have done the dining plan and it was well worth it for us. If there during the summer , just the drinks to cool off makes it worth it. I probably would only buy the plan if I knew I was going to have lunch and dinner at the park, though.

Sea World is a great part for 4 and 2 year olds. We have been taking our son since he was a year he loves it!

I think it's the best park in the area for little ones. My son loved it at age two. It's still his favorite park (He's 14 now), and now I send him to overnight Junior High Career camp here in the summer. Your little ones will love Shamu's Happy Harbor. Most young children love marine mammals too. Sea World is a great park for all ages and multigenerational groups. Look further down on the forum, and you'll see some other threads with your question about whether or not "Dine with Shamu" is worth it. I'd personally skip it on a first visit, as there is more than enough to do without doing "Dine with Shamu".
