What an idiot  - at least the person he said it to turned him in, instead of letting it go. From the Orlando Sentinel:

A former SeaWorld employee was being held in Orange County Jail Wednesday after co-workers said he told them he would go on a shooting rampage similar to the Virginia Tech massacre, according to a sheriff's report.

Gilbert Alexander Garcia, 19, of Orlando told one co-worker "I'm going to do what happened at Virginia Tech here at Sea World," according to a sheriff's report. He called the Virginia Tech gunman his "idol" and said he hated his workplace.

Garcia told an investigator that he was only joking. He was fired because of the threats, a Sea World spokeswoman said.

Co-workers said Garcia's statements were made Sunday and Friday. When Garcia returned to work on Monday, he was escorted to SeaWorld's security office and was ordered not to return to company property. Garcia later called a co-worker and told her he was plotting revenge. He was later booked into Orange County Jail, where he remained Wednesday on $2,650 bail.

Deputes found a baseball bat and paintball gun in Garcia's car, but no other weapons.

People are idiots! :sad2: Just like those people that say the word "bomb" in the airport like it's a funny joke, them wonder why they get taken in. What a jerk!

Glad they turned him in and even more happy the police did something about it.

That made news all over the country. I saw it on a morning news show this week. We are planning a trip there in a few months and my kids were like I hope that guys still in jail. My dd8 thinks they should throw him in with the sharks!

Jeez that's frightening! SW most definately did the right thing - I hope he goes to jail for it!

Even if he was 'joking', he has extremely bad taste in humor - how can someone joke about something like that is beyond me...
