I was just on SW San diego website and saw the arctic animal encounter - has anyone done this? It's pricey but something my DD would LOVE. Just wanted some opinions on whether it was good.
i've done the wild artic interaction before! it was pretty exciting! i think it was better then the dolphin one just because is the same price but u got to see more! they start off the tour with Artic fox that they have behind the scenes because something about they are too aggrasive to be kept on display? then after then u go feed this GIANT walrus! and then after that u get to go see the polar bears from behind the scenes and one the keeper give them treats like yogurts! lol theres more! after that they take u to behind the scenes beulga tanks.. i guess they switch out animals back and fourth? there u will see 2 belugas! lol and a bunch of seals are there too! but those are spotted seals! u see those sometimes too in the regualr beluga tank! there u visit a little more. then they take u back to ur changing room and then u get wet suit up! and then when everyone is ready they walk u over to the beluga tank lol but they make u walk in ur wet suit in public where people are watching the whales from the platform. then they explain to u how cold the water is inside and no sudden movements because appearntly it will scare the whale and they wont want to play after that! so after a bunch of tricks they let u do the photo opp with like 6 poses close up with the whale ! all this while people are watching you guys. pretty cool stuff!
