Just spoke with attraction tickets direct and they have said that if we buy the 1 day seaworld ticket we can exchange it for a 7 day ticket once we get out there. Has anyone else heard this, if so does it apply to tickets purchased from the seaworld website?

I saw that as well, don`t think it was on the Seaworld website though. I think that`s a really good deal, wish I could get DD to go for it, she wants the 5 park flex tickets though.

Never seen that, but frequently you can get a 2nd day free (to use within a week), irrespective of where you buy your ticket from. Could the sales person have got a little muddled?

I don't think it matters where you brought it from as long as it is just a 1 day pass to Seaworld.

We just got back from our first trip yesterday and had the most fabulous time.

I brought my Seaworld tickets from Mapleleaf while we were out there. When you go to Seaworld on the way out you go to the kiosk and they issue you with a new pass with your picture on that is valid for another 7 days. The new pass makes a pretty cool keepsake too.

The 7-day free is correct but you can also get a Fun Pass which means you can visit Sea World as much want up until 31 December 2006 for $66 which is the undiscounted price for a one day pass. You get to these tickets via the annual pass part of their website not the UK site and it is an E-Ticket which means you print of the voucher straight away. When you get to Sea World you go to the Annual Pass Area and they take your photo and give you your Fun Pass. Exceptional value if you want the ability to visit Sea World any time during your holiday. If you are going to visit more than 3 times it would be worth one of your party getting a Silver passport at the cost of $94 as this includes parking ($10 per day) and gives you 10% of food and goods in the park. :thumbsup2

Ive just looked this up i.e the Fun Pass but it says
for Florida Residents only.....so I presume they do not
check this when you take them the voucher...

Surely they question you ?!?
or is just the fact that you have to wait till you get there
to get your ticket ?

also if I went for the buy 1 day pass and get 7 days....anybody
know if this offer runs out any time soon ?

thanks

Lee

We bought a one day pass at the gate (in order to get DH's disabled discount) :sunny:

There are frequent tannoy announcements for you to go to customer service (or whatever :) ) and upgrade to a 7 day pass for free - absolutely no mention of being a Florida resident :thumbsup2

We did this but never used it again
You get your photograph taken and a complimentary pass for the rest of the week :cheer2:

The answer to your last part is definitely yes. I bought Sea World tickets from their website. I used the promotional code PEPSI to get 20% discount and got my e-tickets (you print them off on your own printer).

It says if the Legal Terms section (and I quote)

"This ticket is good for unlimited visits to SeaWorld during your Orlando vacation*. Simply visit the park and before you leave for the day, exchange this ticket at the Upgrade Window inside the park for a personal pass that allows you to come and go as you please for the next week.

*Ticket valid for upto 7-consecutive days during regular operating hours. Non-transferable, restrictions may apply."

So.... - 20% off, dollar at 1.89 to the pound (and you get that rate using a Nationwide credit card), a week's ticket. How good a deal is that?

Last time we went they were doing this offer and the pass you get is a Sea World ticket with a digital photo image on which they take with a web cam. This means that everyone with you has to go as well, but they make a nice little souvenir even if you don't use them.

Simon - have you used tickets yet? Have sent you pm about the code! :teeth:

Hi Lee,

I don't know where you got this information from as I can only find the following info from their site

Unlimited admission to SeaWorld Orlando through December 31, 2006. Price is plus tax, per person and subject to change without notice. Fun Cards expire 12/31/06 and are non-transferable and non-refundable. Offer not valid with other discounts or special offers. Fun Cards do not include admission to select special events, parking or discounts on food or merchandise. Other restrictions may apply.

You actually order the pass on line and when you go to the check out you fill in your name and address for all visitors and you select the international address option. Originally when these passes came out two years ago this option wasn't there at first and so they were impossible to order for international visitors. However they ammended this before my visit two years ago and I was able to order the fun pass. As I said before you actual print the pass and it has a bar code on it which they scan when you get to the park. They only take your picture as you have already entered your details into their computer. They then give you a hard plastic card with you photo and name on that you sign on the back.

Hi
Just wondered how you knew Nationwide were using 1.89 for the credit card exchange rate? Are you able to check this daily?
Thanks

I too have a Nationwide credit card. You always get whatever is the official bank rate. The one quoted on teletext is not usually far off. It's not the tourist rate.

I got 1.89 on Thursday when I purchased my annual universal pass. I've checked my credit card statement on line.

Visitors to Florida should not be without one. I used my Virgin one by mistake for my MNSSHP tickets and the rate was lower than Nationwide. But at least I got my points

Hi Lee,

Sea world have always I my experience had offers enabling you to return for another visit when you purchase a single day ticket. The 7 day offer may or may not be continued through to december but it is hard to say, even if this is stopped I would have thought the worst that would happen is they offer a second day free within seven days of the first admission. This was the 'old' offer.

thanks for the quick reply

I dont see how they could say it was an old offer..
The e-ticket I printed says its valid for a weeks visit

just that I dont see any mention of valid until a certain date :(

anyone know ?

maybe I should have got the funpass....

can these tickets be refunded if you change your mind ?

thanks

Lee

Lee, if there is no date mentioned I am sure you have nothing to worry about - after all, it's not like you are planning to use them years away :)

never without the nationwide cc or nationwide flex account debit card.we go california friday   and we got only £300 in travelers checks from M+S at $1.83.The rest on the cards buying useing CC and for cash use debit at ATMs and get the bank rate at moment $1.87 :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Having not been to Sea World for a couple of years, we are looking at buying the Fun pass, looks good value for money.

SW is great for an evening stroll and not always as crowded as many of the other parks.

There were doing the second day free offer the first time we went there in 1987
